The Eagles View nestles on the mountainside on the edge of the Temperate Rainforest of the Forestier Peninsula commanding views of the wide expanse of ocean This cottage style, light and airy self-contained apartment is approximately six squares and is set back in the hillside surrounded by farmland and overlooking the beautiful ever changing views of the rugged coastline of Pirates Bay. Each bedroom has views of the ocean and the tree lined garden. The Double room consists of a double bed with electric blanket, individual beside tables with lamps. A small combination wardrobe for hanging garments with full length mirror and ample drawer space. A panel wall heater provides warmth on cold days and large sliding windows allow the sea breeze to drift in on hot summer nights. Down the hallway the Twin room is similarly furnished and double sliding windows also overlook the Bay and garden area. The central living area consists of a well equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, hotplates and benchtop oven including most electrical appliances. The dining table has seating for six The lounge area has a sofa bed,easy chairs CD player, radio, television, DVD player. Central heating provides a cosy warmth throughout the apartment The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.handbasin and toilet and is adjacent to the double room. All linen is supplied and cots and high chair.and extra bed and bedding are available at no extra cost Pets are welcome by prior arrangement Outdoor facilities include off-street parking and a barbeque area with access to a safe play area for children and pets. Continental breakfast provisions are included in the tariff. Nearby attractions include:- The Blowhole, Tasman's Arch and the Devils Kitchen as well as the well known Tesselated Pavement.Many and many other natural geological features including interesting rock formations and fossils. On the way to the Blowhole Jetty and Boat ramps is Doo Town with its quaintly named shacks The Tasmanian Devil Park, the Chocolate Factory and the Port Arthur settlement.including the historical Coal Mines A slight distance from Port Arthur The Lavender Farm Restaurant and Distillery invite visitors to sample their unique lavender products whilst not far away at Radnor, The McHenry Whisky Distillery provide workshops and tours by appointment. There are several wineries in the area which offer tastings and cellar door sales. Seafood and other delicacies such as local game are prepared and served in most of the restaurants in the area Pirates Bay is a renowned surfing beach,along with Roaring Beach and The Shipstern Bluff Kayaking and sky diving are popular for the more adventurous. The many beautiful surrounding beaches are popular with young and old. Coastal Cruises and leave from the Blowhole Jetty which is also a favourite spot for the young angler to just dangle a line or catch a squid Deep Sea Tuna fishing has been a major attraction for fishermen from all over the world for many years and the recently upgraded boat ramps and boat parking area allow safe launching for all craft. The Jetty has been adapted accordingly The area is also well known for its bush walking tracks which, being a naturalists paradise. ,provide plenty of opportunities for the keen photographer and birdwatcher Eaglehawk Neck is an hours' drive (75 kilometres/47 miles) east of Hobart. and 50 minutes from Hobart Airport and 1 hour in the City .
