Coast House nestles on historic Beaupre Point, a peninsular in Southern Tasmania close to the village of Cygnet. surrounded by waterways and mountains, Coast House assures total tranquility. Relax by the wood fire in new architect designed surrounds, watch the sea eagles, seals, dolphins by day and the moon rise over the water by night. A selection of gourmet meals and wine, a well stocked fridge and pantry included for your enjoyment.

Exquisite
With panoramic water views this beautifully designed Japanese/Danish inspired self contained accommodation is sublime. The large, cosy living area with fireplace has plate glass windows which not only bring the view inside but lead to a sunny terrace. The huge gourmet kitchen has a generous basket of the best Tasmanian produce. Freshly baked bread, jams, fresh fruits, local eggs and much more! 2 double bedrooms with super comfortable beds, fine linens and patchwork quilts are filled with morning sunlight. Each bedroom has a large ensuite. The surrounding fields teem with local wildlife - wallabies, wombats, quolls and even endangered Tasmanian devils. And peace and quiet - well it doesn't get much better than this! Judi's attention to detail and exquisite taste is evident throughout. You won't want to leave but if you can stir yourself to explore, the pretty town of Cygnet is a few minutes away and Hobart is only 45 minutes.

Words aren't enough to describe the Coast House...
It's rare that you arrive somewhere and realise that the photos just don’t do it justice, but the Coast House is that rare jewel.
The Coast House immediately feels like home and a place you never want to leave! We were welcomed with a roaring fire, sunlight streaming in through the kitchen windows and a very helpful host, Judi, popped by to make sure we had everything we needed.
The little things at the Coast House are what really set it apart... the gorgeous supplies provided including the standard bread, eggs and bacon, but are enhanced by local juice, smoked salmon, fresh veggies, fresh fruit, chocolates, local wine and cheeses and a chilled bottle of sparkling along with delicious meals from a local deli should you need them, beautiful bedrooms with sumptuous linens, en-suite bathrooms with luxurious bath products, comfortable leather couches with soft throws and a kitchen with everything you could need, all really create a retreat you don't need to leave, and that's all before you get to the views and the local wildlife!
If you do decide to venture out, the Coast House whilst being a total haven of seclusion and beauty is within easy distance from the airport, Hobart, the local towns of Cygnet and Huonville where you’ll find some lovely wineries and also close enough to attractions such as the Tahune airwalk, Hastings Caves and thermal springs, and the local ferry to Bruny Island.
We can’t wait to return!

Unique waterfront Tasmanian holiday
Coast house is a unique and beautiful Tasmanian destination. A stunning house on a peaceful peninsula with views over the Huon. John and Judi are wonderful hosts and no detail is overlooked. Anyone fortunate enough to stay here won't forget their first sight of this special place.
As a luxury getaway it ticks all the boxes, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, stunning bathrooms, beautifully furnished and a fabulous kitchen. There are plenty of things to do nearby( walks, wineries, Bruny island, Hobart) but really it's best not to stray too far and just enjoy this place.
This was our third visit, we love it, can't wait to go back!

There is generosity of spirit every where you look.
How could you find anywhere more beautiful? The view is stunning, especially with the full moon rising out of the sea and casting its beam across the water.
We were reluctant to leave to go anywhere, We were able to sit in the shade of the verandah and watch the the boats racing in front of us on a Sunday afternoon.
The house was perfect for us two couples with lots of privacy as well as shared space, and everything else that we could possibly want for a gentle week's holiday.

Fantastic. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Coast House was amazing. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to be in for a great few days getaway.
The property location is secluded and the views are fantastic.
Although the property is secluded it is a short drive from the local town of Cygnet.
The house is a testament of great design and function. It should feature in "Grand Designs"
The two bedrooms are at separate ends of the house, so a great layout for friends or couples sharing. The bedrooms are large with the beds positioned to take in the amazing views. Ensuite bathrooms were well designed and the L'Occutane products a treat.
The main living area and kitchen were really comfortable and again took advantage of the great view.
The house was extremely well equipped and everything we needed was at hand.
On arrival we enjoyed the welcome cheeses and champagne and on the first night we ordered the chef. The food was great.
The fridge was stocked with fresh high quality local produce for making snacks, dinner and breakfast. We were constantly full.

Perfect in every way possible...words don't really do Coast House enough justice!
Our stay at Coast House was amazing in every way...the stunning views and waterside location take your breath away from the moment you arrive. We were spoilt by dolphins swimming past on our first evening at sunset - something we will not forget.We were so impressed by the high quality of all the complimentary food/wines/larder supplies that are at your full disposal and the stunning kitchen fully inspires you to cook ! We found it so hard to leave the peace and tranquility of Coast House ..but shall be back again for sure . Thanks Judi and John for this piece of Tasmanian magic!

Perfect, perfect, perfect!
From the moment you see this accomodation from the road you will fall in love. The space, the view, the property! When we arrived the log fire was going and the champagne was on ice! The attention to detail is ten out of ten. The fridge was stocked with gourmet dinners for us all for both nights, curry, beef casserole, chicken casserole and heavenly ice-cream. Then there was breakfast! At night they place fruit near the back doors and the local wildlife come and feed. During the day you can take in the view, go for a walk or just relax! You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely perfect
This is truly a luxury retreat, with absolute privacy, wonderful views, great architecture, upmarket fittings and everything you could possibly need for a delightful stay. Judi is a charming host and the house is stocked with generous provisions - you really do not need to leave, although it would be a pity not to explore this beautiful part of Tasmania. There are nightly visits from wallabies and possums, who appreciate slices of apple, and Charlie the dog will no doubt come to see if you will throw a stick for him. Could not recommend the Coast House more highly. We didn’t want to leave.

What a and amazing piece of Australia
Judi and John have a place that most people would love to live in. Luckily for us they have opened their dream location to others by building the Coast House near Cygnet.
They made us feel so welcome during our stay and even lit the log fire before our arrival. There is water on both sides of the property, and the walk you sent us on around the water was beautiful.
We loved every moment, the nights are soooo peaceful, the natural beauty of the place is amazing, and the myriad of native animals wondering around at night astounded even me who grew up in the country. I spent hours just staring down kangaroo bay onto the Huon, drinking a nice red of course.
Thanks John for also driving us both to Fat Pig Farm on one of our days, it was certainly very unexpected but a lovely thing to do.
For anyone wanting an absolutely beautiful location to relax and unwind away from the city with some luxury, then this is it. Its such a beautiful place, thanks Judi and John. I'm sure we will be back again in the future.

Very Special
Amazing house.
The house is architect designed and the architect has done a great job- the view takes centre stage and is breathtaking.
Although we were there in summer the house would be great in all seasons - it is very cosy and has passive solar design.
The stars were so bright and we saw plenty of wildlife.
A very special place.
