What a great spot to stay on Bruny Island. Great house - love the stone fireplace. And you need it as it is cold on Bruny Island. What a wonderful holiday! My friends and I stayed here and it was just fantastic. Luxurious beds, modern and spacious bathrooms, gorgeous wood fire and super comfy and enormous couch. About the neighborhood
Bruny Island is made up of a North and South Island which are separated by a narrow isthmus called 'The Neck'. Access to the island is by vehicular ferry departing from Kettering. The trip takes 15 minutes and arrives at Roberts Point on North Bruny. The island has a population of around 620 and is deceptively large - being about 100 kilometres in length.

North Bruny Island

North Bruny is drier than the south and is mostly comprised of open pastures and light bushland. It is home to the townships of Dennes Point and Great Bay. The Mirambeena Ferry departs from Roberts Point which is on North Bruny.

Getting to Bruny Island
Access to Bruny Island is by vehicle ferry. The Bruny Island Ferry, The Mirambeena, departs from Kettering, 40 minutes drive south of Hobart.

The Bruny Island Ferry crossing takes 20 minutes and offers excellent views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel from the upper deck.

From the Ferry- follow the main road to the Adventure Bay turn off (approximately 30 minute drive), follow the signs to Adventure Bay.
Pass the general store on your right, drive 2km turn right into Hayes Road.
