This is a very unusual holiday rental and a great one at that. We were met by Peter the owner who was just finishing mowing the grass as we arrived. He was very welcoming and showed us into the church and explained everything we needed to know. You are staying in a former church which has been converted to form...

This is a brilliant review and I can't thank you enough for visiting and appreciating St.Mary's and Talyllyn. If I could say in addition to anyone who thinks they can't do without a mobile phone signal in the valley .. it can be linked to our wifi and connections made... so you can enjoy all the trappings of the 21st...

As others have said, it felt very much like a privilege to stay in such unique accommodation in the most beautiful of locations. We were lucky with the...

It is a genuinely unique experience to stay at St Marys. The building is absolutely beautiful and a fascinating place to stay. Peter has done a great job in making it comfortable and homely whilst leaving its character and history intact. It's a great place to relax and unwind, and is set in an outstandingly beautiful area.

How to get there
Heading down the pass on the A487 ... The lake can be seen ahead of you as you descend...turn at the Mynffordd on to the B4405 toward Talyllyn and Tywyn ...keep the lake on your right and follow it 's length west .. Pass the TynyCornel... and St Mary's is just around the corner... You can turn in just before and park around the back of the old Church.
