About the neighborhood
We are situated in a tranquil valley and yet easily accessible off the main Craven Arms to Clun (B4368) road giving all-year-round access. Aston on Clun is a brief walk away with it's traditional decorated Black Popular, each year on the last Sunday in May the village celebrates Arbor Day, with a children's Pageant remembering the 1786 wedding of a local Squire. Whilst in Aston on Clun, visit the excellent Community Shop, have a look at the Roundhouses, or pop into the Kangaroo Inn - named after a battleship not the animal. Clun is a brief car journey away, with various festivals from the Green Man Festival at the beginning of May, Annual Show and Carnival in August through to the Clun Valley beer Festival in September.
Getting around
Heart of Wales (request stop) railway station at Broome 1 1/2 miles and mainline station and bus service at Craven Arms 3 miles. We can recommend local taxi services - recommend booking ahead.
