Hollyhock House - There is a warm Belford welcome for those who stay in our beautifully restored 17th century Georgian house. It is ideally situated in the center of the small Northumbrian village of Belford, directly opposite the market cross. The house sleeps 6 peple and offers many original features, including a 17th century coal burning fire place; and an inglenook recess in the kitchen. Stained glass windows are a feature throughout the house, as well as a rolled top Victorian bath. Sleeps 6, there are three bedrooms: one double en-suite, one double and one twin. There is another separate w/c. upstairs and bathroom.

Hollyhock is a bit of a tardis, but a rather nice wood-panelled one! There were more rooms than we imagined from the outside, and inside owner Alison has decorated it sympathetically. Plenty of space for 4 adults even on a rainy Saturday, and Belford has enough shops to keep you provisioned. Nice pub called Tankerville Arms towards Woller - excellent...

Hollyhock House has all home comforts and provided the ideal base to relax in and get a good nights' sleep before setting out for the next adventure. There was so much to see and enjoy in this part of Northumberland; we found something for everyone (and three teenagers are notoriously hard to please!).
