The cottage is also perfect if you are looking for peace and tranquility, to escape the crowds at the end of the day and if you enjoy being close to nature - deer, rabbits, badgers and foxes all live near to the cottage and there is a large seal colony at the bottom of the cliffs at Ravenscar. Within a 10 minute drive, there is the Raven Hall Hotel, which serves food and drink all day, a tea room serving wonderful homemade scones and cakes and 3 country pubs. In Robin Hoods Bay there are several pubs, cafes, restaurants and a couple of takeaway fish and chip shops. Pine Cottage has central heating and has been tastefully furnished to a high standard. The accommodation comprises: Triple aspect lounge/dining room with spectacular views of the Bay and surrounding countryside, comfortable John Lewis sofa, coffee table, TV table and dining table from Neptune, Lloyd Loom dining chairs, a Charnwood log burning stove for cosy nights in watching the wonderful sunsets, a flat screen Sony Bravia TV with Freesat channels, Sony DVD player, Bose Bluetooth Speaker, telephone and WiFi. Well equipped, dual aspect kitchen overlooking the beautiful cottage garden with newly fitted units, wood worktop, Belfast sink, Bosch built-in appliances including induction hob, single oven, dishwasher and a fridge with freezer compartment, Dualit kettle and toaster, and a Panasonic microwave. Bedroom with a view over the meadow to the sea, a kingsize bed, chest of drawers and bedside table all handmade in London, an award winning pocket sprung mattress to guarantee a good night's sleep, fitted wardrobe and Lloyd Loom chair. White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen, a feather duvet and feather pillows are provided. Small bathroom accessed from the lounge on the ground floor with high quality Villeroy and Boch basin and WC, Mira shower with anti-slip shower tray, heated towel rail, White Company toiletries and fluffy towels. Outside there is a delightful, private, sunny cottage garden with a patio and a table, parasol and chairs, where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, overlooking the Bay. Private parking is available on the gravel driveway next to the cottage. All bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linen, Internet access (WiFi) and logs for the wood burning stove are included in the price. The telephone accepts incoming calls, outgoing calls are billed separately. Cottage was very simple but absolutely lovely. It is well decorated and has everything you could need. However, the star of the show was definitely the amazing view. Absolutely stunning.

About the neighborhood
The picturesque historic fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay is around a 20 minute drive or an hour’s walk from the cottage via the beach or the nearby Cinder Track (the old railway line running for 21 miles between Whitby and Scarborough). Famous for its red roofed cottages tumbling down to the sea and smuggling in years gone by, the village has a couple of grocery stores, a Post Office, a fishmonger where you can purchase locally caught crab and lobster, a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants and a couple of fish and chip shops, as well as a National Trust Visitor Centre, several little shops selling gifts, local artwork, jet jewellery, fossils and secondhand books, and a holistic treatment room. In the other direction along the Cinder Track, also an hour’s walk or a 10 minute drive,...
How to get there
Pine Cottage is set within a small residential hamlet between Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar, approximately 50 miles and an hour's drive from York. It is easily accessed from the A171 between Scarborough (which is 13 miles away) and Whitby (which is 15 miles away) via Ravenscar. Alternatively, if you turn off the A64 onto the A169 to Pickering and Whitby, this route will take you across the spectacular North York Moors.
