Excellent
Great farm location for loads of peace, quiet and relaxation. Many thanks to our host Helen. I'd certainly recommend this cottage and happily return. Whilst the location itself is on a farm and fairly isolated there are no shortage of places to visit using it as a base.

Lovely cottage in a wonderful setting.
Just returned from a fantastic chill out week in this lovely cottage. The views of the countryside are magnificent and it is so centrally located for all the surrounding towns and villages. Pubs are nearby as are several good eateries. The peace and quiet is just what was needed, nothing but birds and wildlife could be heard. The hot tub is lovely and very private, we managed to use it before breakfast and in the evening on most days. A pleasant and relaxing experience. Helen made us most welcome and even laid on sandwiches and cake for our arrival. She was an excellent host, never interfering but always available if needed. I highly recommend this charming cottage.

Hot tub heaven
Stayed for a week in August this year and was blown away by this place. The cottage is wonderful with everything you could possibly need with the added bonus of a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. The cottage is in a beautifully location with views of the hills and countryside. Helen is the perfect landlady leaving you to enjoy your on holiday but on hand should you need anything. If you want to get away from it all you certainly can here or if you want to explore there is plenty to see and do. A must is high and low falls, absolutely stunning scenery. Will be back one day I’m certain of that.

Hot-tub-tastic!
Immaculately presented cottage in a gorgeous location. Helen was very helpful during the booking process and left us some thoughtful extras like dressing gowns, face wipes etc. The cottage is next door to the farmhouse, but felt very private due to a high stone wall around the garden. The hot tub had the most spectacular views across the countryside so it was a welcome place to chill out and admire the view. Great information inside the cottage, including a folder of local walks (which we attempted one from the cottage but a bit lost)! Couldn’t recommend this cottage highly enough - the perfect place for a bit of R&R!

Fabulous cottage
Wonderful cottage in an idyllic location. The cottage has everything you need for a totally relaxing break away from it all - two comfortable en-suite double bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Best of all is the hot-tub, which was just what we needed after a day exploring the Dales. The cottage looks out onto fields, and feels as though it is the middle of nowhere, despite only being 10 minutes from the A66.
We would love to come back, and would recommend it to anyone.

Peaceful, Tranquil, Beautiful & Quirky
The cottage is wonderfully quirky in that the living room and kitchen are upstairs and this allows you to take full advantage of the stunning uninterrupted views across the fields. A lovely, homely cottage, nice and cozy and just what we wanted for out 5th wedding anniversary. Helen was more than helpful giving us a full run down of places to eat and visit, taxi fares and local events, the tour de yorkshire was starting in Richmond on the Saturday, making it easy to plan for the weekend.
I think we managed to use the hot tub 5 times in the 2 days that we rented the cottage. With the weather being so nice there wasnt a cloud in the sky and the display of stars was immense. Hot tub, glass of wine under a blanket of stars, we were in our element and come Monday we certainly didnt want to leave. My Mrs is looking into booking it for a full week over the summer. We would go back in a hearbeat.

Home from Home
This review could be six pages long singing the virtues of such wonderful home from home. We have stayed in many cottages over the years the length and breadth of the country but here at Wison House it was as though we were truly coming home. From the very warm welcone from Helen and family we were made to feel truly relaxed from the moment we step out of the car. The cottage has everything you would need and more, from a lovely warm range in the kitchen to the wonderfully appointed ensuite bathrooms in both bedrooms and the comfiest of beds for a great nights sleep after a day walking the beautiful countryside and exploring the farm and all it offers from chickens to cattle and sheep (we were there for lambing season) ..... then after a hard day relaxing back to the cottage and in to the hot tub situated right outside the cottage. The hot tub rounded off each day with a relaxing glass of Rioja and fabulous views of the rolling hills and the sound of the countryside. We could go on but try it for yourself. Helen is always on hand if you need any help or advice and is truly an amazing host. Can't wait until we return again

Great cottage in a great location
Warm and inviting, the Cottage at Wilson House is a great find. This upside down cottage took full advantage of the great country views and had everything you could need to make your stay really special - including a fabulous hot tub outside! Situated on a working farm, Helen and family were really welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed and were also insightful as to where to go and where to eat and drink when we ventured out. We are already looking forward to when we next return to the Cottage and a nice relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
