A large and spacious sitting/dining room with fantastic sea views. 2 cream leather settees - one 3 seater and one 2 seater. 42' flat screen television with Talktalk You View Box.. DVD player. Ipod docking station/speakers. Dining table and 4 chairs. Antique georgian sideboard. French doors onto a balcony from which there are also wonderful sea and coastal views. There are two good sized comfortable double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. All beds are made up with cream Egyptian Cotton Bedlinen. The front bedroom (double bed) has sea views down to Freshwater Bay and the beach. The bathroom is in between the 2 bedrooms. There is a bath with mixer taps and shower over. Basin and WC. Heated towel rail. The apartment has a balcony from which there are also fantastic sea and coastal views. It has a table and 4 chairs directly accessed by French doors from the sitting room. Full Gas central heating - this is a very efficient system!. Radiators are thermostatically individually controlled and the flat can be as warm as you wish for as long as you wish! Also the flat is very well insulated and very warm in winter! Duvets, pillows, and Cream Egyptian cotton bedlinen is provided (beds made up for your arrival). Towels - 1 large bath towel per person plus a hand towel in the bathroom. Tea towels and dishcloths are also provided. Please Note though that Beach Towels are NOT provided. Free WiFi. Some DVD's, board games and binoculars provided. Buckets, spades, beach mats, provided. Binoculars are provided for guests use but please do not take them off the premises. Welcome tea tray ready for your arrival. The flats have their own off road very private car park which cannot be seen from the main road and each of the 10 flats has its own dedicated parking space marked with the flat number marked in each bay. Please note vans of any sort are not allowed due to terms of the lease. We welcome children of all ages. However we do NOT provide any equipment for babies and toddlers. Also please note that babies and toddlers are counted as people in our maximum sleeping capacity of 4 persons. BIKES - If you wish to bring your bike PLEASE NOTE THAT BIKES ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE BUILDING. THEY MUST NOT BE LEFT EITHER OUTSIDE THE BUILDING - If you wish to bring your bike it must be kept on the roof of your car or against the trees adjacent to our (No 10's) dedicated car parking space. The trees are quite convenient for fastening to if you wish. No pets. No smoking at all either inside the flat OR on the balcony. Please note we do not accept same gender groups under the age of 25. Please note we do not accept wedding parties. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW OUTDOOR SHOES OR BOOTS TO BE WORN IN THE APARTMENT. There is plenty of space to leave footwear outside our own front door and there are also coat hooks for outdoor coats etc. PLEASE DO NOT USE fake tan or similar products in this flat. If such products are found to have stained the bedding and/or towels a charge will be made. We have had to enforce this rule due to one too many sets of bedding and towels being ruined with these products. Change over day - We aim to be as flexible as possible subject to availability so do please ask if your preferred start day is available and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. .Arrival time is anytime from 3.30 p.m. onwards. Very well equipped and thoughtfully supplied with everything we needed for our stay. Needed heating on as we were there for wet, cold November and it was so cosy. Gorgeous views over Freshwater Bay too. Will definitely book here again thank you.

Very nice apartment with impressive view of Freshwater Bay. The apartment was comfortably furnished and accessorized (a hair dryer would have been helpful). The lack of storage space in one of the bedrooms and a sticky bathroom/toilet lock makes this apartment more suitable for families...More

Thank you very much for your 5 star review. With regard to the lack of storage space in the double bedroom. There is a very large wardrobe in the twin bedded room which has plenty of capacity for 4 people and indeed in 4 years...More

We really enjoyed staying here. The flat is very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The surroundings are very peaceful, even though it was August. We enjoyed sitting on the sunny balcony admiring the sea views, and also the cows! There's great walking nearby, and Freshwater...More

About the neighborhood
Bayclose is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) and is also in a Conservation Area as is most of Freshwater Bay. Locally, Yarmouth and Freshwater have a good variety of local shops and cafes as well as a Co-op, a Sainsbury's Express and a leisure centre. Just down the lane from the apartment is Dimbola Lodge - Dimbola was the home of the celebrated Victorian Photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron. Now it is a museum dedicated to her life and work. It also has a tearoom and bookshop and the picturesque thatched church of St. Agnes is 100 yards up the road. There are also a number of pubs and hotels in the vicinity. There are many places to eat and drink locally, to suit all budgets. Here are a selection of just a few of them! - Dimbola Lodge Cafe - just beyond the drive...
How to get there
Wightlink Ferries - Vehicle and Passenger Ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth (Yarmouth is 3 miles from the flat). Crossing takes 35 minutes. Book online with Wightlink - they make an extra charge if you go into their office at the terminal to book! Red Funnel Vehicle Ferry from Southampton to East Cowes. Takes 55 minutes. Red Jet Hi-Speed Passenger Ferry from Southampton to West Cowes. Takes c 20 minutes. Wightlink Ferries - Vehicle and Passenger Ferry Portsmouth to Fishbourne. Takes 45 minutes. Also Passenger Catamaran Portsmouth to Ryde takes 22 minutes. Specific directions will be given at the time of booking. It is sometimes possible to find a discount code on the internet to use against the ferry price - I am always happy to see if I can find a discount code for you!!!
