The whole family (two adults, three children between 10-15 and a dog) absolutely loved Rhubarb Cottage. It felt extremely clean, comfortable and homely and we settled in straight away. The location is brilliant, tucked away just a few minutes from the high street, but in a very quiet location, with access to a beautiful walk in the forest just seconds up the road. We have visited the New Forest every year for nearly twenty years, but it was our first year at Rhubarb Cottage and we will now be returning here when we stay. Many lovely forest villages and walks in easy distance. A community forest feeling in Lyndhurst, great restaurants and pubs and tearooms abound.

Well-equipped and very comfortable cottage
We've just returned from a delightful week at Rhubarb Cottage. It's one of the best-equipped holiday homes we've experienced. Comfortable, spotless, contemporary decoration, with a perfect suntrap of a garden. Plus all the information you need on local sights etc.
The location is great for getting into town, plenty of dog-walking places nearby, and perfect for touring the New Forest.

Lovely cottage in a great location
Stayed in Rhubarb Cottage for a family holiday and was really pleased with how clean and spacious it is. Comfy living room with open-plan dining area. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook full meals and full-size fridge. The patio garden at the rear is a real suntrap with outside tap. Bedrooms nice and comfortable with quality duvets etc and lots fluffy towels. The location is about 5 minutes walk to local pub and less than 10 mins walk to Lyndhurst village centre with shops etc. We've stayed in many holiday homes and would highly recommend this accommodation. The only point to bear in mind is that there is only parking for one car outside and it's reasonably small space. There is off street parking though. Nice and quiet in the evening.

Beautiful Cottage
Just spent a fabulous long weekend in this fabulous cottage. We are not dog people at all and although this cottage is dog friendly it was so clean you would not have known dogs were ever there. Location is brilliant if you like walking, so many walks you can never get bored. Although there is plenty of places to eat we preferred to stay and cook in the cottage which was fully equipped. Parking no problem. We will be back.

Fab cottage
Second time we have stayed here, have stayed in Apple cottage as well and that is lovely too. Great location for town or walks. Really nicely decorated. Huge bed in the main bedroom. Good shower. Nice little garden. We love staying here, it is a beautiful home from home.

Fantastic week
Had a lovely week in rhubarb cottage, it's a lovely place everything you need for a week away , we love the new forest and the open top buses, Lyndhurst is a great base , would definitely return

Perfect cottage in a perfect location
Found this little gem on the New Forest tourist information website and I am glad I did . This cottage is the perfect home from home and ideally located within the New Forest with great access to surrounding points of interests and family days out. on arrival we were greet with welcome gifts which is a lovely touch, the cottage is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, a walk around Lyndhurst and if you wish to go a little further afield there is always the Tank Museum, there are plenty of leaflets in the cottage for other ideas too. There are lots of places to eat, we recommend the White Rabbit walking distance from the cottage which is an added bonus as you cant have a glass or two and five mins walk and you are home. we cant wait to book again and highly recommend this cottage and also to look at their other property on the same road.

Lovely dog friendly cottage in New Forest
We stayed at Rhubarb Cottage in Lyndhurst for a week. We are a family of 5 - including children ages 20, 18 & 14 and our rescue dog. The cottage is very well located - a couple of minutes walk from Lyndhurst Hugh Street which is a very nice town with lots of options for places to eat, drink and mooch. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully presented. Beds and all furniture are very comfortable. Lovely touches such as welcome gifts, coffee machine, dog bowls. There are great dog walks locally including Boston’s Bench. Nice courtyard garden to eat and relax in. Very easy to access the delights of the New Forest as well as the coast. Julie was easy to communicate with and very helpful.

The fact that we have stayed here four times says it all !!
This cottage is very comfortable and in a great location on the edge of the forest and conveniently situated within walking distance of Lyndhurst high street. It’s been newly refurbished and maintained to a high standard. Look forward to revisiting soon.

Rhubarb lovely
We had booked a week over the May Day B/H been on the very edge of the village it’s easy to find, lovely big dinner/living room and comfortable seating, the kitchen is compact with a good range of cups, plates and utensils upstairs are two bedrooms with a very large double and comfortable bed slept very well, another smaller double next and a good size bathroom with shower, up another flight of stairs to the bedroom with two single beds overall this is a lovely place to stay with a small garden for your dog, a very user friendly cottage in a very nice village with plenty of places to eat, and makes for a great base for going out and about in the New Forest.
