Located on the shoreline of Chichester and Langstone Harbours, a short walk from Emsworth, this two bedroom Deckhouse is a novel yet practical design dating from the 1960's. It is part of a unique development of deckhouses that were originally built as yachtsmen's weekend and holiday houses.
The deckhouses are set in a tranquil parkland setting that contains two natural ponds. The Sussex Border Path passes beside as it follows the contours of Chichester Harbour and Thorney Island.

We stayed at the deckhouse for several weeks whilst renovating our new house nearby. We thought it was brilliant, really comfortable, homely, and with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The location is fantastic, with lovely shoreside walks right on the doorstep. Angus is a great host and made eveything very straightforward. Would highly recommend.

Perfect break by the coast
Lovely break in the deck house. Well equipped, comfy bed and a good shower. Very close to the water for viewing the fantastic sunsets at the end of the day. Slight problem with the Freeview was quickly rectified via a few text messages with the owner. Easy to obtain the keys on arrival from the key safe outside. A nice, relaxing holiday and we hope to be back!

Nice and quiet deckhouse fully equiped,
We really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable home with everything you need on a holiday. Quit place near beautiful nature and water. Only 10 minutes walk from the old part of Emsworth villages with some stores and pubs. Friendly and helpfull owner which responds by app vert quickly. Going to Hayling or other place in the south you should rent this place!

3 Avocet Quay holiday let whilst we were buying a new home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully positioned Emsworth deckhouse. We spent 7 weeks here and loved being so close to Emsworth's beautiful harbour. The deckhouse is fully furnished, the kitchen in particular is so well equipped. The deckhouse is charming, clean and freshly decorated. We'll miss the sounds of the boat yard and sea sending us to sleep oh and seeing the local pheasants and gipsy horses each day. Great value escape for all seasons, real home from home

A very special space to relax and recuperate.
The deckhouse is compact but well-appointed and very comfortable .It is an easy 5 minute walk along the coast path into Emsworth to reach the shops and there is much to enjoy down at the quayside. We made the most of the balcony, watching the amazing sunsets and listening to the estuary birds.

Like a home from home.
The location is very picturesque. The cabin is very comfortable. There are so many things that were very thoughtful. All the basics e.g. S & P, tea bags, tin foil and cling film and much more already there. Toys for the children and take away menues. Excellent.

3 Avocet Quay - Good
We stayed at 3 Avocet Quay for 4 nights. It’s a great location and lovely space, nice and clean, well equipped kitchen. Only comment is that it could do with a little updating. Shower curtain a bit manky and bits of paintwork and window frames could do with attention. Apart from that very nice stay.

Restful, yachty retreat
A relaxing and practical place to stay to experience Emsworth and the surrounding area. The owner was very helpful. Peaceful, simple, pleasant and enjoyable.

Excellent marina residence
Situated just off a working Marina this Deckhouse takes you to a different world. You feel compelled to just walk everywhere, the marina, Emsworth town and coastal walks, but mind out for high tides!

Great facilities, homely and great location
Near to the lovely coastal village of Emsworth which is easy to walk or cycle to. Great shops, cafes, pubs and restaurant nearby. Enjoyed some picturesque walks along the coast and in nearby Bosham. Ideal accommodation for family or couple to stay and owners are very helpful. Thank you for a restful stay that recharged are batteries and we loved the cafe in the Marina :)

Emsworth is on the West Sussex and Hampshire border, and is midway between the cathedral city of Chichester and historic Portsmouth with its naval dockyard home to HMS Victory. It is a popular town with sailors, walkers and naturalists.The town has a long history with oyster fishing and boat building and still boasts traditional shipwrights and chandeliers. The attractive streets are lined with a range of architectural styles and a walk around the town gives a real feel for its history along with offering superb harbour views.The Sussex border path affords a beautiful outlook across the Chichester Harbour area. To the west Chichester Harbour merges with Langstone Harbour and the walk around the coastline towards the pretty village of Langstone is particularly picturesque. Heading south from the property, Thorney Island projects out into this natural harbour and taking the coastal path around the island will afford some wonderful views.
