Mabel cottage is in a great location, with the town centre and seafront a 5 minute walk away.
Paul the owner met us on arrival and made sure we had a space outside the cottage to park, and we had no problem parking outside on the road the rest of our stay.
Paul also showed us around the cottage to get us acquainted and provided a welcome pack of essentials.
The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need - just like a home from home.
There are a variety of shops and places to eat within walking distance, with a Sainsbury's local and Tesco close by.
We really enjoyed our stay in Sheringham and at Mabel Cottage.

We have a lovely week in this well equipped cottage.
The cottage is in a very convenient spot, close to the town and the sea.
The cottage is well equipped, very nicely decorated and worked well with our 8 month old granddaughter.
Sainsbury's local and Tesco closeby. The town has so many independant shops - bakers, fruit, butchers etc and chip shops. Plenty of eating out options. A trip on the excellent steam railway line - Poppy Line from Sheringham to Holt - not to be missed.
Parking was no problem outside on the road and we had two cars.
A very helpful owner who met us on arrival and showed us around the house.

A very enjoyable experience
We needed a new location in the area as our holiday home for our family week away in Norfolk had decided to retire and was not available any more. Quite a wrench for us as we have been going for about thirty years. However we were not disappointed as Mabel cottage and owner Paul are excellent. The location near the town centre and sea are a bonus. Everything you could want in a holiday home are on hand and more. The area is brilliant with a beautiful coastline and a very laid back way of life. Wells next the sea, Blakeney and Cromer ( pier show) not to be missed. Further away Mundesley has a lovely beach and beach cafe. Must try it!

If you want a comfy stay in a well-equipped house - this is it ! We loved it.
My first experience in Norfolk, glad I fiound this cottage. Close enough to the town to walk there, the sea just a matter of minutes walk away. Mabel Cottage has been lovingly put together, things we would have in our own home are part of the accommodation, there for you to use! We used all three bedrooms and voted and rated the beds to be very comfortable. It was a quiet area too. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to the friendly owner..

Raises the bar for the other letting cottages
I never thought I would find a self catering cottage so well equipped, it’s a shame for the other ones I visit as I will always be comparing them to Mabel cottage. My daughter and I really loved our stay there. It had everything we needed, the location is perfect, in the heart of Sheringham but behind high street, therefore nice and quiet. The rooms upstairs were recently redecorated and look beautiful, I think my mattress was a memory foam mattress, it was extremely comfortable. The heating in that house is ever so efficient, there were two smart televisions and we were able
to watch our Netflix programs. In my humble opinion, if anyone complains about this place, they just don’t know what they’re talking about.

About the neighborhood
North Norfolk has so many unspoilt sandy beaches the beach at Sheringham is particularly family friendly, the North Norfolk Coast is truly remarkable. Pretty market towns and villages are also waiting to be found, their are historic streets lined with independent boutiques, galleries and delis are perfect for a day ambling. The area is rich in heritage and culture too - grand stately homes, museums, festivals and theatres are in abundance. There is also a whole raft of things to do such as a range of amazing family attractions, walks and boating tours and if you are wondering whats on, there is always a variety of different events taking place throughout the year. Popular National Trust properties including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, with their extensive grounds, restaurants and shops are perfect for a day out.As are the independently-owned, and therefore unique, houses of Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and the royal home and estate at Sandringham (now home to Prince William, Kate and George).
North Norfolk is also alive with an abundance of fauna and wildlife.
The North Norfolk coast is renowned for its birdwatching opportunities, rare sightings and impressive seasonal migrations.
You'll also discover winding country lanes and woodlands ripe for a spot of foraging, seas perfect for fishing and rock pools calling out for nosey children with nets and buckets in tow!
Getting around
Many of our guests hardly ever move their car once here, as so many things are on the doorstep. Local shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Bike hire is just 150 yards away. The coach and train stations are all within 5 to 10 minutes walk. There are plenty of local taxi firms.
