Living on a mainline station was just amazing. We bought a railcard and used the trains every day. The cottage was so cosy, everything was so clean and comfortable, to even including slippers and dressing gowns! A fantastic welcome pack and the owners on hand if you required anything more.

We booked Station Cottage to be near family for the Christmas holiday which was so helpful as we were about 20 minutes from them and also near to Norwich and Acle village for food shopping etc. Not a problem at all being on the station platform and the comings and goings of the trains did not disturb our stay and even makes it more cosy. There is a handy parking space just outside the front of the cottage. Inside is very clean and very comfortable and cosy, lovely bedrooms, bedlinen and towels and very good wardrobe and storage space. The kitchen is also very clean and well equipped and we were provided with a lovely basket of edible treats. The sitting room is very comfortable, and when we arrived late afternoon the whole cottage was so cosy with heating and lights on and even a couple of little Christmas trees with lights. The owners have also thought of so many small useful things down to bedside torches, hot water bottles and even back up poo bags for the dog! We really enjoyed our week at Station Cottage and would definately stay there again.

I rented Station Cottage with friends recently for a week’s holiday do not regret a single second of it!! The cottage, being converted from the old booking hall and waiting room, was cosy, spotlessly clean, full of character and had every single facility you could think of! It is situated in the most desirable village of Acle, which has all the amenities you could wish for. With the cottage being part of the railway station, believe you me, who needs a car, when there are regular train services to virtually anywhere you want to visit. Well done to Deborah, the proprietor of Station Cottage! I cannot wait to return.

We had a wonderful week staying at the Acle railway cottage and as soon as we entered we knew that we would love it. It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing and had every thing needed for a great holiday. There was a delicious welcome basket and beautiful cut flowers in the hall. Travelling by train was so simple from Acle and we were very busy exploring the beautiful area, particularly enjoying Norwich. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family as it was brilliant accommodation. Thank you Debbie!

Upon arrival at Station Cottage we were greeted with a beautifully presented cottage, with fresh flowers and a very thoughtful and kind welcome selection including cake, biscuits tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread and even treats for the dog! The cottage is immaculate with fantastic details and Deborah has thought of everything to make this a home away from home. Being on the train station we loved to see the trains but they were not disturbing. Our son loved to wake up to watch out for the diesel train. Acle is a lovely village with the benefit of a number of shops (including a co-op) and is easy to walk to through the footpath from the station. We were ideally placed to explore Norfolk and enjoyed returning to the cottage to relax each day. We would all highly recommend this wonderful cottage and would definitely return next time we visit Norfolk.

Acle is a great location for visiting The Broads. Train to Norwich or Great Yarmouth on the doorstep! A trip to Wroxham, Horning or Fairhaven all near by. The welcome we received at this converted railway station was second to none. The quaintness of this place intriguing, and every need provided for. would love to visit again in the future.

Having lived our lives near a railway line, we didn't think staying here would be a problem. And it wasn't. The trains just made us feel part of the area and its history. The cottage was so inviting. Clean, spotless, and made one feel we were the first guests to arrive here. In tune with other guests, I'm reluctant to rave about the cottage too much, in case so many people wish to come here, we will not be able to book the weeks we want to! Only scratched the surface of Norfolk on this short visit. We are determined to return, and to this very wonderful location. I tell you all, this is a location you must not miss, and I have been to quite a few!

Our break at Station Cottage was so good we didn't want to leave. Right on the platform - you can check the arrival and departure boards from the sitting room window. Regular trains to watch but not so many as to be intrusive. Railway enthusiasts dream cottage. Nicely furnished, clean, warm and snug with lots of railway books to read. The owners next door are friendly and helpful. Whilst there is parking right outside we used the trains to travel most of the time. Medium sized grocery shop very close and great walks around Damgate Woods. We can't wait to come back.

What a fantastic location for a week in the Broads, the station has been restored to provide a perfect accommodation for a group of friends or family. The thought gone into the welcome basket for visitors also sets you up for a perfect stay. We had a great time, the location was ideal for our friend's daughter's wedding at Southwood Hall.

Had another fabulous week. The cottage was perfect again, and the personal touches were most appreciated. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and all the rooms are spacious and well furnished. Acle is a great place to explore the broads either by car or(as we did) using public transport and walking. Local shops, take aways and pubs all tested this visit and all were excellent. Can't recommend enough, already looking to book next year!
