Neighbourhood -
It's peaceful in the quiet cul-de-sac in which the house is located. An Italian restaurant & bar is within 5 minutes’ walk, as is a foodie pub. Other restaurants and pubs are 10/15 minutes’ walk. Newcastle and Durham are accessible by local bus or taxi (15 minutes) and the property is very close to the Angel of the North and Beamish Museum. Hadrian’s Wall and the Coast are easily reached too by car. Cycle routes are accessible directly from the house. Durham’s International Cricket Ground at Chester-le-Street is 5 minutes by car.

Great property for family celebration
Booked this for my 70th birthday with my family. The property is in a great location for visiting Angel of North, Beamish Museum, Whitley Bay and Durham.
Rooms spacious with extremely comfortable beds. Plenty of drawers and hanging space. Bathroom and shower rooms accommodated us all. Washing and drying facilities make this ideal for families.
The hot tub was great. After busy days it was a lovely relaxing end to day. The outdoor space was ideal for little ones to play in. There is a huge dining room that sat all of us and gave plenty of space for our relaxing dining. Plenty of board games available for family competitions. Biggest children enjoyed arcade type games machine. We tried the karaoke machine too.
The nearby town has a large supermarket so we were able to buy supplies. There is a good selection of restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. One of our cars is electric and there was charging points at garage nearby so that was helpful.
We took one King Charles spaniel and he enjoyed the space. His favourite spot was lying on the rug in living room! We all enjoyed the stay and this included ages 2-70. If we return to this are we will definitely rebook this property.
