On the day of check-in we will send you a code to access the keys located in a key safe at the front door. We are not on site but we available via mobile phone or email during your stay. A few days after checking out we will send you an email inviting you to leave a review.
Good location with a short drive or decent walk into town. Great to walk off the dinners and drinks and then soak in the outdoor tub, but don't forget to take a torch. The cottage is more spacious than you need for a couple to stay and a good size for 2 couples or a small family. The heating worked great, there is a little BBQ and deck next to the cottage which is more spacious than the balcony and was a great spot to enjoy wine and cheese. The coffee machine and condiments at the ready were a great touch. Overall, we had a great few days and wish we had stayed longer; we certainly will be back.

We had a lovely time at Briars Cottage. The spa on the deck was the special touch. We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. Highly recommend

Highly recommend
Such a great little cottage to stay at and explore Daylesford. It has everything you need to stay and unwind for a few nights. The outdoor spa on the deck was also great to sit in and relax and enjoy the outdoors.

A great setting

Amazing! The personal touches made a world of difference.
The cottage was so warm and welcoming. Sitting in the private spa with a glass of champagne staring out at nature was serene and exactly what my partner and I needed on our little getaway.
Di and Duncan thought of everything and provided all of the extras to make our stay feel homey and one that we won’t forget. We can’t wait for our next visit to the cottage.

Would definitely stay again
Loved it! Such a great find, couldn’t recommend more. Hosts were lovely to deal with and the cottage was very clean with a super comfy bed, great heating and cooking facilities. The spa bath was a real hit on a cold winters night

Perfect little get away!
For us, this was a perfect way to escape the big smoke of Melbourne and head down to a beautiful location in a gorgeous cottage for the weekend. The collage itself is clean & tidy, private and has everything you need!
The spa was wonderful. All the little extra's also provided to go with such as champaign, candles and even little bath bomb soaps.
Not that we needed it, but we had full reception within the cottage and all areas surrounding.
Very well thought out by Di and Duncan with all the little essentials for a great weekend away. Communication was also on point - thank you!
They are also around the corner from Passing Clouds, a beautiful winery (highly recommend) and the Daylesford Sunday Markets, also a bit of fun.

Just lovely
Spacious and well appointed house in lovely surroundings. Unusual in not having wifi but that did not detract much from the overall experience. Too far to walk to town for pubs and restaurants.

Perfect private cottage in the heart of Hepburn/Daylesford
Briar's cottage was a lovely stay, beautiful surroundings and a well equipped home. Extra touches like chocolates and wine on arrival, and well thought out decor.

Daylesford and Hepburn are famous for its mineral springs. A favourite is the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa. Visitors can enjoy anything from private healing mineral baths, to massages, facials, body wraps and polishes, manicures and pedicures.
Convent Gallery is a converted convent, which now houses the most beautiful artwork. Getting a bite to eat at their restaurant is a must.
To explore the great outdoors, there are walking tracks to suit all levels of fitness and interest. Popular ones include Lake Daylesford, Wombat Botanical Gardens, Soda Springs, Hepburn Mineral Reserve
After a day of exploring, check out Istra Small Goods, and have a picnic either at the cottage, or in one of the gorgeous gardens spotted around Daylesford.
Getting around
Daylesford town is a 1.2 km walk one way or a few minutes by car. There are local taxis available.

Daylesford is 115km from Melbourne.
From Melbourne CBD on Western Highway
Drive over the Westgate & take the Western Ring Rd. Take the Western Hwy exit marked Ballarat. Drive for about an hour until you reach the Ballan/Daylesford turnoff. When you're off the highway turn right. You'll be heading towards Daylesford.
From Melbourne CBD on Calder Highway
Drive to the Tullamarine Fwy merge left to the Calder Highway towards Bendigo. Take the turn off to Woodend and drive through the town, Turn left to Daylesford. Drive on for about 20km. When you hit Tylden, drive 1km then turn right into the Daylesford Rd and drive for 20km.
The cottage is between Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
