We were new to the area but had a great time in your perfectly placed cottage. Youlgrave a thriving village and the very sweet cottage has wonderful river views and walks. Haddon Hall a secret gem.

Lovely cottage in the delightful village of Youlgrave , positioned above beautiful riverside walks and less than 5 mins stroll from a great pub which serves the most amazing food - there is a choice of three pubs in the village which is fab as they all serve good beer and great food . The cottage has everything you need it’s comfortable and in a great location . Sue and Phil are very responsive, helpful and on hand if needed . Would recommend !

We have stayed here several times because we love this cottage. It is beautifully finished throughout, and has a lovely roof terrace with views towards the river. It is peaceful yet very close to the centre of the village. An ideal place from which to explore the area.

Overdale Cottage is lovely and well situated for amazing walks. It is in a village that has three pubs, all serving great food and are very welcoming including your dog. The cottage had everything that we needed for our four day stay. The bed was very comfortable. The water was nice and hot for showering and washing up. The roof top terrace is great, we had breakfast up there every morning. The view of the river from the cottage is lovely.

Absolutely beautiful. We had a fabulous break away in this cottage. It was clean and exactly as described and more. Very comfortable and the roof terrace absolutely makes this property. Set in a stunning location in a very friendly, picturesque village. The owners have gone above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. We would highly recommend

We had a great weekend at Overdale Cottage. Everything was even better than described and there was all we needed and more. The roof terrace was especially great to enjoy al fresco dining and drinks. Highly recommended. Our 11-month-old Labrador Paddy particularly liked the walks and dips in the river!

The cottage holds a superb location looking down the river valley ,with a lovely roof terrace to enjoy a full day from breakfast to evening drinks . Loads of great walks around the village and 3 good pubs all within easy walking distance. All in all a ideal relaxing venue for a great break Thank you . 😁😁

A beautiful, cosy cottage in a perfect location! It was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed for our stay plus a few well received extras (the wine was a real treat!) We really enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace in the sunshine and exploring the local area/ walks with our two dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back. Thank you both 😊

We have just visited Overdale Cottage for a three day break. This was our second visit. We love this place. The cottage has a lovely warm friendly feeling about it. From the time you open the door it has a welcoming greeting for you. It is very comfortable with beautiful views from each window and the roof top garden has spectacular panoramic views which are breathtaking looking over the River Bradford. We were spoilt for choice with the walks that are on offer around here. So lucky to have Chatsworth House close by and the extended amenities the house offers to with the Garden Centre and Farm Shop. We bring our little Jack Russell Alfie to the cottage and he really loves it. The people are so friendly here they make you feel part of the community straight away. Sue and Phill the hosts are pationate about the cottage and want everyone who visits to ‘feel at home’ and relax there. We will definitely be going back to this idilyic place.
