Set in an enclave of four executive style properties, Slapestones benefits from privacy, mature gardens, and an elevated rural outlook above the Duddon Estuary.

Slapestones, an imposing and newly refurbished holiday home, is easily accessible from the main road from Broughton in Furness and Millom at Thwaites. Its location offers the best of everything - a complete rural idyll and yet very close to local amenities.

Slapestones boasts mature gardens on all sides, some have planted boundaries, whilst the rear garden from alongside the driveway extends behind the garage and is bordered with trees. There is also a rear woodland area.

A lovely location for friends to stay to catch up! Lovely setting. Great for couples and for families. A well-stocked kitchen (utensils and crockery) and brilliant Dining Room enabled us to have an even better weekend! Great outdoor area. Will be looking at booking again...More

Slapestones had everything we could want from a holiday home; Comfy beds, a powerful shower and absolutely spotless. Amanda was the perfect host, and provided amazing advice when needed. Absolutely loved our time here and we were lucky enough to get the sun.

This cottage is huge! Amazing views, lovely home from home that is welcoming as soon as you walk in would recommend it to anybody

Slapestones is set in its own enclave of four executive properties. It is set back from the road, surrounding by field and woodland with good views from all sides. The nearest neighbours from this point are actually quite far away!
Getting around
The most convenient way to see the surrounding areas is by car. There is a very limited rural bus service. The nearest train station is Foxfield, about 4 miles away where you can get trains to Barrow in Furness, Millom or as travel as far as Carlisle for those wishing to explore a little further afield.

Airport: Manchester: 24.9 mi
Railway: Foxfield: 1.9 mi
Leave the M6 motorway at J36 and take the A590 west towards Barrow and Newby Bridge. Continue on the A590 past Newby Bridge and after 5 miles take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A5092 (which becomes the A595) to Broughton-in-Furness. After around 12 miles, you will see the first sign for Broughton and then a second sign on the right (this sign is brown). Continue on the A595, go through a set of traffic lights and climb up the hill. Just after the top of the hill take the first left. You have arrived. The postcode of the property is LA18 5HY.
