Tindal House is a dog friendly 18th Century townhouse located in the centre of historic Alston. The house is beautifully presented with 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8.
Alston has shops including deli, butcher and baker and a co-op and spar and pubs serving food.
Fibre wifi is included as well as a 43inch LED TV with complimentary Netflix. There is a CD player with bluetooth connection
A stair gate is fitted. High chair and travel cot also available.
Tindal House is heated by gas central heating with a combination boiler so constant hot water.
Car parking is free and plentiful in the market place
For children and adults there are plenty of game, jigsaws and books available. Alston is on the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast cycle route.
The South Tynedale Railway is on the door step and beautiful walks are available in every direction.

Superbly furnished house with great facilities. We enjoyed the Winter Droving in Penrith. Whilst staying at the house in Alston we went for a meal all 8 of us to the Cumberland Hotel which was absolutely brilliant, great food,atmosphere and very friendly locals. All in...More

Alston claims to be the highest market town in England at about 1000 feet above sea level and is on the Pennine Way. There are outstanding walks and vistas in every direction. Locally you can visit lead mines or take a trip on the South Tynedale Railway. Alston lies within the North Pennines a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Much of Alston town centre is a designated conservation area and includes several listed buildings. Alston lies at the crossroads of the A686, A689 and B6277. Alston lies in the middle of the A686 between Penrith and Hexham and is described by the AA and as one of the top ten driving roads.
