Cottage
Charming cottage with pine interior beside the Bonshaw river with direct access to the new Bonshaw Hills hiking/biking trail system. 25 mins from Charlottetown and about 7 mins to the beaches at Canoe Cove and Argyle Shore park. Full amenities include linens, dishes, pots, coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and microwave. The cottage has two bedrooms (each with a double bed), one bathroom, and a kitchen/dining/livingroom. There is also a loft area accessed by a stepladder, with a further double bed allowing a maximum occupancy of 6.
The cottage is situated in a delightful location for nature lovers. Kayaking, canoeing, walking, mountain biking and fishing can all be done directly from the property. PEI's newest and largest trail system has just been completed with 20km of new...

Absolutely wonderful! Clean, effiecient and so comfortable!
Brilliant use of space. For a relatively small footprint, the cottage feels so roomy.
We traveled up from Boston, MA for a family wedding and the cottage was located perfectly to visit family in Canoe Cove and to sight see. Absolutely recommend 10/10. (And if you rent, be sure to check out the genius way the dresser in the bedrooms work!)

Beautiful Cottage
This was the second time we stayed at this cottage because we loved it so much the first time 3 years ago! The location is perfect. The cottage is spotless! The rental cost is perfect as well!

Lovely pet friendly cottage.
My husband and I, along with my sister and her husband, rented this lovely cottage for a week in July/August. We brought our two little dogs as well. It was located across the road from the Green River in Bonshaw, PEI. It was private and away from the traffic and tourists but a quick drive to all spots of interest. The cottage itself was well maintained, clean and quaint. We loved our hosts, Jonathan and Jessica. The next time we visit PEI we’ll be sure to rent Riverside Cottage again.

Beautiful, Scenic Location
We stayed at Riverside Cottage for 10 days. Arriving on the island after a 19 hour drive we were so pleased to finally have a place to rest our heads. Jonathan and Jessica were great hosts. We were greeted our first morning with fresh cinnamon buns, a cute welcome postcard and island information which included handy information about the island tides. We loved everything about the place. The cottage had it all. Everything you needed to cook meals at home. The garden was a fun surprise. Picking fresh carrots, onions, potatoes, etc was a fun experience for my niece & nephew. They also accommodated our puppy who had a blast on the property. The cottage was the perfect location for our vacation. It was 20 minutes to Charlottetown and 10 mins to Cornwall. Both have every amenity you need. We ventured to Argyle Shore and Canoe Cove which were 10 minutes away. Definitely recommend Canoe Cove over Argyle Shore. But you need to watch for low tide for these beaches to be accessible. We are already planning on booking for next summer!!! We had a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The bedrooms were fair size with enough storage for my needs. The loft housed 1 adult and the 2 kids. There was an additional cot made available to accommodate the extra sleeping need. Everyone was pleased with their sleeping arrangements. Bathroom was a perfect size and the shower had good pressure and temperature. Bonus for us was the dishwasher! We don't have one at home but it was a time saver for our vacation! More time for the beach and visits with our island family. Bonshaw Hills park was right at the corner with an awesome playground for kids and access to the hiking trials and river. Another bonus is the proximity to the Confederation Bridge. Also the waste program on the island was made easy by the booklet in the cottage that laid it all out for you. Be prepared to follow these rules. If you don't then your host will have to sort the garbage because it won't be picked up if items are mixed. With a conscious effort the waste program is easy. I would highly recommend Riverside Cottage and look forward to my next stay with Jonathan and Jessica.

Little piece of paradise
We spent 1 week at the Riverside cottage. Perfectly located and close to beautiful beaches and across from a provincial park, which had great walking trails. Johnathan and Jessica were perfect hosts. Gave us lots of suggestions for places we should see and things to do. The cottage is perfectly equipped with anything you will need for your visit. Very tidy spot and the cottage is exceptionally well maintained. A definite second visit to PEI and the Riverside cottage will be planned!

Spotless cottage in a lovely setting
My husband and I had a wonderful week in Riverside Cottage! It was immaculate, and had everything we needed, from a well-supplied kitchen to a cozy porch on which to relax after a day of sight-seeing. Bonshaw is located centrally on P.E.I., and is a great location from which to explore. We will definitely book with Jonathan and family again!

Wife says "Cute as a Button in Bonshaw" (and I agree)
We waited until we booked our next stay before writing this review as we did not want anyone else getting "our week". Which I guess says it all !! But there is so much more to say
This was our second consecutive year vacationing in PEI and our third consecutive year in the Maritimes of Canada. The Riverside Cottage is by far our favorite rental yet. Although cozy in size, Jonathan and Jessica have created a comfortably charming oasis from the stress of modern day life complete with an organic garden which they generously offered to let us pick from.
The country road location it is quiet enough that you can sit on the porch and read yet close enough to the highway for easy access to whatever adventure you might have in mind. Just across the street there are miles of hiking/biking trails and a river that seemed full of fish and when we were there baby eagles.
Jonathan and Jessica (the owners) are lovely people, we were greeted upon our arrival with a handwritten note of welcome and fresh wild flowers. They were helpful and available for questions or just to chat while still honoring our privacy.
Lastly, if you stay at the cottage we recommend you attend at the Ceilidh's( pronounce Kaylee or Celia depending upon the speaker :) held on Sunday nights at the old church/community center/post office at the entrance to Green road...They are kind of community talent show, like what I would imagine a coffee house would have been, right down to the cookies and tea during intermission

We found the cottage to be very charming and exceptionally clean!!
We loved the setting of the cabin! The Host and Hostess were very friendly and accommodating. The setting was quiet and beautiful. There was a garden, well kept and yard space for games as well as a river, and a nice walking trail to be enjoyed just across the road. we also enjoyed our campfire ring in the evening.

What a cottage is supposed to be
It was great to stay in a proper cottage, cute, clean and 100% as advertised. The location was perfect for our needs and in a great spot. The added bonus for us it was harvest time in the garden. Fresh tomatoes, peppers and zucchini. Plus a bunch of other veggies including one I am still not sure what it was. A great location to enjoy PEI from a central spot with tons to do in all directions even without a car. We also attended a Fall Flavours event - a great reason to come to PEI every year in September / October. We will be back.

A cozy, quiet vacation spot on PEI!
We stayed at this lovely cottage for five nights and enjoyed every moment! It was a quiet and peaceful retreat after exploring the island each day. The cabin was spotless and we felt like we were at home. It was also very close to Canoe Cove which ended up being one of our favorite spots. The park across the street has nice hiking! We enjoyed the volleyball/badminton net in the yard also. Jonathan and Jessica were wonderful hosts who made sure everything was taken care of for us! I would definitely stay here again!
