Words cannot describe how lovely Goose Cove Retreat truly is. The property is immaculate. Stepping into the kitchen is like stepping into that of a 5 star restaurant. The endless rooms are all exceptionally well appointed. Ample options for activities and games were provided both inside and outside. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating.

We held our intimate wedding at the retreat, and it was truly unforgettable. Absolutely perfect place to get lost and relax. I wouldn't be able to make a complaint about Goose Cove Retreat even if someone paid me! Would recommend over and over again. Thank you so much June, till we stay again! :)

I can’t say enough to express what an amazing home this is!!! Attention to detail was spectacular, from every possible condiment in the kitchen, every spice you could ever need, blankets for the camp fires, sticks for roasting marshmallows! The retreat was immaculate. Owners have thought of every possible thing! Wish I could give this review an extra star! Thank you to June and Faye for making this a great weekend for our group!

We stayed at September 2020. With the pandemic crushing our dream trip to Nashville we decided to do our long sought after girls trip right here at home. After long hours of googling, causing Air B&B and review reading, we found what we were looking for ... the perfect getaway. A place off the beaten track, nestled in the woods yet close to the water giving 8 of us girls plenty of room to relax and unwind. While were were disappointed the hot tub was not working (which has since been repaired), we did have an incredible weekend nonetheless! The place is fabulous ... from the spectacular (spotless) house, to the patio/firepit area to the kayaks at the wharf. There were so many thoughtful touches - towels for swimming, blankets for the cool nights at the fire, pillows for all the deck chairs with storage boxes to keep them from the elements. The staff that take care of the property are very friendly and respond quickly if needed. We had the most perfect weekend - a much needed "retreat" away from the craziness with the best peeps! In fact, we loved it so much, we have a "do over" booked for this September! It's a must on anyone's bucket list !!

This is a great place for a family get together to share laughs and create memories. In order for others to make an informed decision prior to booking you need to know the pros and cons of this resort. Pros: Excellent service from the managers taking care of the property. They are located just down the road and only a phone call away. You can find everything you need at this resort like being at home. The fire pit area is great for everyone to sit around and enjoy nature. Onsite laundry and lots of space for 3 families. Pool table and hot tub were some great onsite activities. Fresh cod fish given to us by the property managers. There is a high-end BBQ on the deck for making steaks. The dock is a nice place to relax and have coffee or a glass of wine. The kitchen had a gas stove for cooking which was nice. Luckily we had some great weather and it was very quiet and peaceful and private. My family really enjoyed being able to stay in one place and enjoyed our time at this property. Cons: This property is not well suited for younger children or elderly because it is on the side of a cliff and we were always afraid to let the kids run around for fear of falling down the cliffs or hilly slopes. Lots of steep stairs to get to dock or fire pit area and steep hills to go for walks. The property has no beach area and the water is very deep for kids and is cold for swimming even in July. There is no housekeeping, so it is like being at home. There are no restaurants or pubs nearby so you will need to cook your own meals and bring your own food. You can drive into town but very limited choices in this area. The area is very wooded so make sure you have bug spray. We went to the beach and went sightseeing each day because there was no where to swim or for the kids to run around safely at this property. The house entertainment system is very confusing to operate so make sure you ask how it works and read the instructions it might help. The place is very hard to find and if you call for directions the cell service is very poor in this area. You GPS in your car will only take you to the end of the main road to this property. At around $900 a night, it is very overpriced for this area. We have rented other vacation homes in Trinity before for less the half the cost. Overall this property is well suited for couples without younger children and elderly. Even if you had older kids there is only 4 beds in the property. The property itself is very well kept and everything you need at your fingertips. For a lot of people who can afford it is a good option for 3 couples. Each part of house has one bed except for loft which has two small beds.

We have stayed at the Goose Cove Retreat for the last two years, and will likely return this year. The property and view are breathtaking. There is space for everyone to unwind - from reading in one of the many nooks, sitting by the fireplace, soaking in the hottub or enjoying the ocean view. The owners have thought of everything, including blankets to take outside when it's chilly, bbq, canoes, a fully stocked kitchen, speakers for music throughout the house and even marshmallow roasting sticks! The property truly feels like a private getaway resort - it's lovely and the owners have been great.

Just got back from an unforgettable weekend at Goose Cove Retreat. We couldn’t of asked for a more amazing weekend. The hot tub was so lovely in the woods overlooking the ocean. If you go in the morning you’ll see the sun rise! The beds are the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep in. We spent every evening by the bonfire pit under the stars - it was so peaceful. The dock on the ocean is a nice touch. We were able to have a yoga instructor lead us through a class for 6 of us on the dock every morning ❤️ There is so much privacy there -you really feel like you are on a retreat, completely disconnected from the outside world. Highly recommend this place!

Jaw dropping from the moment you arrive at the property. Perched on a hilltop overlooking a protected bay, Goose Cove Retreat has it all. Just minutes from historic Trinity, yet a world away in a tranquil and private ocean side resort. We enjoyed our family getaway by kayaking on the bay, soaking it up in the hot tub and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. The property boasts every amenity imaginable including four unique bedrooms, media room, billiards/meeting room, gourmet kitchen, sauna, wood burning fireplace and much more. It was the perfect home base for short excursions to Trinity, Port Rexton, the Skerwink Trail, Elliston and Bonavista. The wild life was incredible with whales, puffins, bald eagle, rabbits and more, all a stones throw away. Gerry and Jim were fantastics hosts and added to the unforgettable experience. You have to stay here to believe it. Bravo!

We had the pleasure of staying at Goose Cove Retreat this past weekend. It was absolutely fabulous and so very relaxing. The property is beautiful and nestled in such a quaint community. The house is equipped with everything you might need. There are so many things to enjoy with the fire pit, sauna, hot tub, and pool table. Of course, just a few minutes drive away is the lovely town of Trinity where you can enjoy a lovely meal and browse through the many shops as you take a stroll around the town.
