Interaction with guests:Â Once you have booked Tuwanek Timbers, we ask our guests to complete our registration form, providing us with the details of your group.
We then follow-up one week before your stay and provide access details and directions to the cabin.
Our cabin is a great landing spot for recreation and relaxation get-aways from the City of Vancouver.
Our area offers great scuba diving and Tuwanek Beach is considered a very good dive location.
Check in and out was simple. The cabin was very nice and tidy and in a beautiful area. Overall, everything was excellent.

Hidden gem
This place is a hidden gem. We had a great stay here this past weekend. Lori’s place is well equipped. The set up of the house and backyard is very thoughtful. Great location to relax with the beach nearby and surrounded by treats. I loved the kitchen as it was well stocked and the hot tub was super clean. We would love to be back.

Beach and bear
Great location. Quite community. Close to beach. Well equipped cabin, included fans, and all the things you need. Lots of outdoor seating. Too hot to try hot tub! Be aware that the local black bear has a daily stroll on the property line - locals are very good at keeping the residents apprised of the Bear's location. Cabin is stocked with bear spray - not needed, as bear moves on with a little verbal encouragement. Lots of trails close by -Grey Creek is stunning. Easy communication with owners. Lower bedrooms are much cooler - so if you get first pick...We were there during a mini-heat dome.

Great accomodation
I stayed at Tuwanek Timbers this past weekend with some friends. The cabin was great. It had everything you could need for your stay. Very cozy and clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. The hut tub was a great addition and we were very impressed with all the cool, personal details around the cabin and landscape. Really cool! The location was also great, only 10mins or so from Sechelt and a close walk to the beach. Check in/out was made very convenient and easy by Lori. Highly recommend. Thanks for having us!

Perfect
We booked this cabin for a birthday weekend. It was perfect. The cabin has everything you could think of needing and more.
It is tucked away in nature yet still minutes away from 2 beaches and a 10 min drive to grocery stores etc
It is roomy and cozy at the same time
The fact that it has a hot tub and fire pit is just a huge cherry on top
We can’t wait to come back again and again

Cozy cabin in Tuwanek
We spent New Years at Tuwanek Timbers with our grown kids. Had a fantastic time! Board games by the roaring fire. Delicious meals prepared and shared in the well equipped open kitchen. Hot tubbing surrounded by snow. We highly recommend this place for a getaway and some R & R.

Cozy & Welcoming
This was the perfect getaway for a quiet relaxing few days. Full of everything you would need in the kitchen , living room and bathrooms so there is no stress to bring anything. Lori was very helpful the entire booking and during our stay!! We went down during a water shortage , so the hot tub was closed but the ban was lifted during our stay and Lori made sure to have it opened the same day!! Thank you again for the wonderful experience !!!

Awesome Cabin Time!
Our family of five had an amazing two weeks at Tuwanek Timbers. The cabin really does have everything you need plus more. We loved the outside space, the hot tub was used daily and the front deck is such a peaceful place to relax. Lori and Lanny were great to deal with, allowing for early check-in and were quick to respond to any questions we had. We will be back for sure!

Fantastic stay!
Me and the family had an exceptional week’s stay! Fabulous accommodations, hot tub, fire pit, all of it. Close to beach too! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks again!

Lots of recreational activities in the area, ranging from fishing, hiking, biking, boating, scuba diving, four wheel driving and golfing to winter activities such as skiing, snow shoeing, sledding and walks in the snow.
The Sunshine Coast also offers lots of annual events, from farmer's markets, to art crawls and down hill biking events; lots to choose from.
Getting around
We suggest having a car or truck which will allow you to experience the myriad of activities and events that are up and down the Sunshine Coast.
Sechelt also offers a bus to and from the ferry, but you'll need a vehicle (or taxi) to get to Tuwanek Timbers, as it's 10 km outside of Sechelt.

Our cabin is located in the community of Tuwanek, which is a short 15 minute drive from Sechelt; and the road is paved.
We are a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay (30 minutes outside of Vancouver). Once on the Sunshine Coast, guests only have a 45 minute drive to the cabin.
