La tete de l'elephant is a beautiful chalet with stunning views over the mountains nestled in the French Alps in the very French Village of St Jean D'Aulps just 10 minutes from the town of Morzine. This new and modern chalet was purchased by the current owners in July 2015 and it has been set up for renting over the ski season as well as all year round.
The chalet is about 1.20hrs drive from Geneva airport in the heart of the Portes du Soleil area which offers the largest international ski area in the world with over 650km of marked runs catering for all levels of skiing. In summer the region transforms to be one of Europe's most impressive mountain biking terrain with 350km of official tracks.

I enjoyed a relaxing few days with friends and family in July. The Chalet is located in an amazing area. The short walk to the Bakery each morning was one of the many perks of the trip. We had a great Christmas week at this chalet. It exceeded expectations versus the reviews and pictures we had seen. The village of St Jean is perfectly placed for les Portes du Soleil and has a couple of nice restaurants and bars and a large Carrefour. The chalet was built in October 2006 and everything is therefore modern and in excellent condition.It is located in a very peaceful cul de sac setting just above the village of St Jean D'Aulps and 10 minutes by car to the town of Morzine. There is just a short walk into the centre of the village with its small shops, bars and restaurants and Carrefour supermarket, however it is elevated sufficiently to benefit from fabulous valley views.
