Interaction with guests:Â Our guests have the ease of going directly to the cabin without having to check in anywhere. We live on the property, but leave our guests in privacy unless they need us for something. Then we're Johnny on the spot!
It was a lovely little cabin that was private and tucked away. Exactly what we wanted and about 30 miles (35 minutes) from downtown Asheville. The hot tub outside was wonderful and there was a fire pit and some nice rocking chairs to sit on the porch. Perfect for a couple (we also had our dog) not many more that that would fit however. They had farm fresh eggs in the fridge for us from their chickens which was a really nice touch. Loved it and will be back!

Dream Cabin...perfect name!
This quaint little cabin was a perfect birthday getaway for the hubs and I. Loved that we could take our fur baby, Bax. Secluded and private...the hot tub was a wonderful touch! We built a fire in the fire pit, and enjoyed every minute. The owners are johnny-on-the-spot, but do not invade your privacy at all. Was excited to get some farm fresh eggs as a gift! You'll love this place! We will return!

Best Cabin I've Ever Stayed At
I come to the area a couple times a year for a workshop in Asheville so I love making an excuse to rent out a cabin for a couple of days. This one is actually the best one yet! The views are to die for. I love the front porch and hot tub as I like to relax so much! Normally, when you get a cabin - you have to go out and get all the necessities (condiments, coffee, gas for the grill, firewood, even ice!) and this cabin had EVERYTHING it seemed. I felt so at home like I didn't have to go anywhere if I didn't want to. They even had bathrobes and little toiletries. Felt like I was being pampered. Loved the hammock and the bench...for more relaxing! Bed was very comfy as well. Just a really great place with everything you need. And did I mention that amazing view??!!!!! 2 of my friends were so impressed that they're looking to book it for the future. I will be booking again as well!

the location was exactly what we were looking for...
The accommodations of the cabin that Judy provided were above our expectations. It felt like home more so than a hotel, and we gained a friend.
We assured her that we would be back again.

Dream cabin
There are no words. Best rental we've experienced. Well cared for, homey, private. Close to attractions. Friendly respectful hosts. Beautiful property. We definitely want to come back as tropical storm Alberto put a dent in our plans. We were appreciative of wifi. We needed the peace of being away and to do that in such comfortable accommodations was bliss.

Excellent!!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Dream Cabin. It was everything we could have wanted for a beautiful, relaxing retreat from the rat race. The area is very beautiful and everything you could want for dining and recreation is nearby. We hope to go back very soon!

Thanksgiving Getaway
Great experience; a lot of privacy; the cabin was comfortable and the owners thought of everything we could possibly need. Also great central location for day trips to go hiking, shopping, etc.

Perfect mountain cabin!!
We had a wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable cabin. The owners are more than helpful and go out of their way to make this the perfect space.

Howells at the Moon Farm is located in the Smoky Mountains, 20 minutes from Asheville and 5 minutes from Historic Waynesville, NC. It is tucked away in a private, peaceful setting, yet close to all the area has to offer. Have a great time during the day hiking, skiing, horseback riding, kayaking, shopping or at the casino in Cherokee. Come back at night to sit on your porch with a glass of wine, or soak in your hot tub while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The farm itself has an orchard, large vegetable and herb garden, and we raise chickens and bees. It's a lovely piece of property with beautiful shrubs and trees, and the view of the mountains is fabulous. This property will ease your soul and reconnect you with nature.
Getting around
You will need a car to get around but there is so much to see in the surrounding area. We are 15 minutes from two entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as 20 minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Another short trip east is Asheville, and south is Sylva, Dillsboro and Bryson City. Great mountain towns just waiting to be explored. Historic Main Street in Waynesville is delightful, with lots of galleries for local artisans, great restaurants, a wine shop, and lots of shopping including Mast General Store which is a must-see. Our cabin is a great jumping off spot for all of these exciting destinations.
