Felt like home! But better! Much better! :0)
This house felt like home,
The owners did a great job of making this property feel more like a home than a rental property. The flip flop theme was awesome and done tastefully throughout the home. I wear Flip-Flops all year, so this was really cool for me...
There were little extras throughout the home, and they were deeply appreciated.
We have been going to the Outer Banks for many years, and we have stayed in many places, and this was one of the nicest homes we have ever stayed in.
Great house, Great location, Great accessories, Everything was great!!!
I would definitely rent this property again... ;-)

Outer Banks Adventure
Beautifully decorated large house with 5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms large dining room and living room with two decks. Private outdoor hot tub and beautiful pool. The house was well kept and immaculate. The town of Duck is very quaint and beautiful and a short drive or walk and it definitely added to a remarkable experience. The ocean beach is only a 2 or 3 minute walk from the house.
Owners George and Eileen have supplied every need for a stress free vacation.
A sensational value for an entire family vacation.

Wonderful, roomy house!
This house was a great deal for the price. Plenty of room for three couples, each with private baths. The pool was wonderful and clean. We didn’t lack for anything. Our only problem was with Spectrum - terrible service. They said they would come out, but on the last full day of vacation so that wasn’t much help. The only other problem was the TV in the master bedroom tiled most of the time. We loved the Duck area and didn’t mind the walk or drive to the beach. We would book again.

Beautiful home, well equipped , close to the beach
The Flip Flop Inn was a joy! We were very impressed by how the house was stocked, including music, movies, children's toys, sewing kit, beach chairs etc. It seemed as if they thought of everything. We could have packed lighter had we known.There was plenty of room to spread out or for our group to be together. The house is light and airy even though it is surrounded by beautiful trees creating privacy. Very good energy in this space. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Flip Flip Inn
All one could ask for and more! We have rented vacation houses before and this stands out as a winner!!!
The house is beautiful! Conveniently located to beach, biking and town. Every possible need has been considered! Hot tub, pool, beach accessories, even a discount card for grocery shopping at Food Lion. Morning coffee by the pool and a soak in the hot tub star gazing to end the day.
Calls from both owner and rental agency to confirm all was as we expected. Even the hot tub service company asked if there was anything we needed.
Seamless check-in with a call to let us know the house was ready before check in time.
Duck Donuts is not to be missed. And who would expect a restaurant attached to a gas station to be phenomenal! Cravings, for the best scallops

Oh What a Wonderful Week!
Our family had a great week at Eileen & George's home away from home.
The home is fully equipped for a fun filled vacation. It is very large & comfortable
which gave everyone their own space to relax and recharge.
The pool was a refreshing treat after biking on the nearby bike path.
We walked or biked daily to the nearby 3rd St Beach Access.
We took our grandson for Duck Donuts and Sunset Ice Cream along the boardwalk
in nearby Duck Village. Everyone enjoyed that!
Great space! Great location! Fabulous Family time!

There's No Place Like Home
I have been coming to the Outer Banks for a very long time and there is truly no place like the Flip Flop Inn! This gem of a home offers everything (and more) you are seeking from a restful and relaxing vacation. You might even forget that you aren't staying in your own home, because it offers all the comforts you would expect if your home was at the beach.
For example, think about the number of times you may have rented a house and discovered it didn't have a particular pot or pan you might need for a delicious seafood meal or you had to bring your own...(fill in the blank)! The beauty of this house is that the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need to make your vacation one of a lifetime. Another nice touch by the owners is calling on our first day of vacation to make sure everything was going well and that we were happy! What a unique way to make a first impression! In this world where so many things have moved to such an impersonal level, this was so very much appreciated. This attention to detail is what makes this an especially rare rental. The entire feel of this property lets you know you have rented a "home" compared with just renting a "house".
This home has such a great location. It is close enough to the town of Duck to walk, jog, or bike. You will find many great places to shop, dine, or even attend a concert right in the town's center. The town of Duck has done such a superb job of putting together a town square that welcomes visitors from all over with such great activities for adults and children alike. There is something for everyone including: magic shows, morning exercise classes, or movies. Don't forget to take a walk on the outstanding beautiful boardwalk that begins right as you get into town. The sunsets are amazing.
The Flip Flop Inn is a place that I will return to for many years to come. After staying here, I know without a doubt this is the VERY BEST of all the rest. This property should DEFINITELY become your new "home away from home".

Perfect Vacation House for our Parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration!!!
Our parents are still talking about what a great week they had.... and so is the whole family!!!! The house was perfect for our large group!! The loft became "the man cave" for the 3 young boys.... the teenage girls loved their private space in the downstairs bunk room and the adults were able to enjoy the rest of the house and get their quiet time to catch up with each other or just read a book! We all spent many hours at the pool together... and the large dining area was perfect for all of us to enjoy many wonderful dinners together!!! We all had big plans for our week in the Outer Banks.... but with the Flip Flop house being so close to the beach and to the town of Duck.... we basically just were able to hang at the house, walk to the beach, enjoy the amazing ocean.... and never felt like we needed to venture far from the house!! This family celebration in the Outer Banks was perfect and The Flip Flop house was an amazing place to spend the week!!

Awesome Trip
Everything was wonderful. The only thing that was mentioned by my party was a TV was needed in the bedroom with the bunk beds. Maybe cut down the tree in the middle of the driveway. Other than those two things our trip and stay at Flip Flop Inn was wonderful. We love the house, pool and hot tub. I like the tub with the jets in the master suite. I have restless leg syndrome and that tub helps with that so much that I am thinking of getting one for my house. Needed some relaxation and I got it at Flip Flop Inn.

Lots of room for kids and great pool
This was the best so far of vacation rentals on Nags Head we have used. Lots of room for large family. Traveled with sons and their children..ages, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 3...they loved the pool. It was not too big for them to play safely...I swear they all learned to swim this trip! This house was well equipped with about all you need...and more. It had all the beach equipment you needed, including beach carts to tote everything to the beach which was a short walk from the house. There were lots of videos and games for bad weather days. Everyone agreed when we go again, we will check out this place first to see if it is available.

350 yards from ocean beach, 1 mile south of DUCK, 3 miles north of KITTY HAWK. Near the DUCK Sound front walkway.
House is 3.5 miles north of Wright Bros Memorial Bridge which connects mainland to Kitty Hawk. Sunday to Sunday rental week has less traffic during congested summer weekends. FLIP FLOP INN is 4 - 5 hours from the Washington, DC area and 3 hours from Richmond, VA.
