One of only two similar townhouses on the stunning new Bayview resort with 3 furnished balconys and a fully landscaped Roof terrace with . The spectacular roof terrace has built in sofas with loose cushionsand a beautiful roof garden with sunbeds it enjoys amazing sea and mountain views accross the Makrygialos Bay . The accommodation consists of an open-plan living are with fully equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher and microwave, a dining area with table and six chairs there is a balcony off the kitchen dining area. The sitting area has air-conditioning double sofa bed coffee table wood burning stove LCD TV and DVD player, there is a large balcony off the sitting area with a table and four chairs. Wonderful place!

My friend and I had a very relaxing 10 day stay at Bayview Townhouse in June/ July. It is located slightly off the beaten track in Makrygialos, which for us was perfect as we enjoyed walking and taking in the sites. However saying that, 2 gems of the town are within a 10 minute walk, Green Beach and the little taverna by the beach. We had a fantastic time there. The house is spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The only negatives were: The on-going lack of in-property internet access (due to a local issue) Sometimes the bedrooms could get quite hot. There is only one air-con unit and that is upstairs in the living room area. The grounds around the property were well maintained, the pool wonderful and the staff very, very friendly I would definitely return.

About the neighborhood

Makrigialos is a small seaside resort situated on the south east of the island It has long sandy beaches some where you might struggle to sea another person! a small, pretty harbour with many waterfront tavernas cafes and restaurants. It is best suited for family and romantic holidays and those looking for the 'real Crete' not for those looking for a wild nightlife! There are plenty of small shops for day to day needs but for more variety the towns of Ierapetra and sitia are both about 35mins drive.

How to get there

Easyjet, Jet2, Thomas cook, Thompson airlines all fly to Heraklion which at present is the nearest airport. From the airport you can hire a car, the companies that we have used are Motor Plan and Holiday Autos. It is about a 2 hour drive to Makrigialos. The Resort has a private car which can be booked for airport transfers. There is a bus service from the airport but you would need to change buses in Ierapetra.
