Sea Spray was a very good house for our needs this past May. The best thing about it is the view from the top floor. It's basically ocean front and such a quick walk to the sand! We were able to spot dolphins and a whale from the top floor. The pool was great! Perfect temperature and nice as a break from the ocean! The hot tub was also nice!
The house was comfortable, but you can tell it's dated/worn. Suggestions from us are to invest in larger coffee mugs. With small children we needed to drink LOTS of coffee and there were only tea cups. You should also have a full size couch in the upstairs living room. It would make that area better for gathering in. The kitchen table is way too large! It's nice that it can seat lots of people, but it's really hard to move around the stairs and in the kitchen with it. I guess one of the chairs got broken over the years for the table on the second floor because there are only three. That was a great spot for small groups, but not some place you could really hang out. Downstairs with the pool table was nice, but again, you need more furniture so folks can really enjoy hanging out there! We did have a great week and enjoyed this location so much!

Great house but needs updating and maintenance
We loved the location and the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The pool was just the right depth and temperature.
However all of the pool and deck chairs were broken. Many of the blinds in the house were broken. There were not nearly enough kitchen dinnerware, flatware, and glasses for our group of 8. Pots and pans were all in terrible condition with some of them being so badly scratched that they were not suitable for use.

First time visitors in Nags Head
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Online payment and access code simplified the process. Home was spacious and great floor plan but carpet was not in the best shape and the home was worn-which is to be expected somewhat. Disappointed there was a lack of kitchen, cooking supplies, garbage bags, even dish soap- simple things. We often rent in ma area and usually homes have at least sample sizes available. Otherwise, overall a positive experience.

Close walk to the beach!
Loved the keyless entry for the house. The ocean view was unobstructed and closer to the ocean than most ocean front properties. The pool was small but provided hours of entertainment for 5 kids. The only thing that I would improve was the cookware. The pans were all older and none were nonstick which made cooking some food challenging.

i love the house and its very spacious!!
Love the views of the beach and watching the sunrise and sunsets from the balconies. Love not having to walk far to the beach or if u firhetsomething ur right there.

nice view
overall nice place, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Need new chairs on private balconies, we couldn't sit, cause they were broke. Mattresses could be replaced. Storage containers for food could be added to the kitchen. The hot tub barely worked. Nice place just needs up dated amenities. Would I rent again hmmm maybe.

Super Week at OBX
The house was wonderful for our extended family of 11 people aged 3 to 67. We were able to be separate, but together for a super week's vacation. The location, across from the beach, made it especially easy for all ages involved. We are planning to return next summer to Sea Spray.
Outer Banks Blue has the whole rental process streamedlined and efficient from the inital contact to the online final evaluation of the property. Each time I called, whether it was for reassurance about the travel route I selected, a question about how to do the easy deposit online, or an inquiry about renting next year, I was greeted with a friendly,knowledgable, patient person at the office. I highly recommend Outer Banks Blue.

Relaxing
I appreciated the layout of the house allowing our adult children space to spread out with the kitchenette on each level. Gave everyone privacy when needed. The view was the best that we have ever had when staying in the Outer Banks. I was a bit dissappointed with the amount of traffic on the beach road but got used to it after a while. We all enjoyed the pool, hot tub and pool table. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other places we have stayed. I bought a fry pan, which I left at the house because the one there was in horrible shape. Also we could not find a platter or large plate for serving. The beds were comfortable, a real plus from some of our other rentals. I would consider staying here again in the future.

Will Miss This House -:- Charlottesville, VA
This place needs some upkeep badly
This house has a wonderful location and perfect lay out. We have been renting it since the first year it was built. That was seven years ago. In all of this time, the bedding, carpeting and furniture have been well-used and started to look dirty and worn 2 years ago. Not one thing has been updated. Imagine how many different people have used this property in its lifetime! We have strongly suggested new mattresses and bedding before, and now the carpeting has gotten downright disgusting. It is getting to the point that we will not rent it again unless there are some changes made. That makes us all very sad because this house is wonderful and it would only take few well-spent dollars to make it clean and live-able again.
This year may be our last as our dear friends' children (who notably were the only ones who did not bring their own pillows) got lice after spending the week in the downstairs bedroom. We are begging the owners to change at least the bedding and mattresses which are old and somewhat uncomfortable.

Not the best place, not the worse
The location and views of the ocean were awesome but the cleanliness of the carpet was less than desired. More pans are needed in the kitchen. There was only one cookie sheet and no decent knives. There was only a dish towel, no dish cloths. The shower curtain liners were molded, the blinds were broken in some rooms. The outside shower needs more ventilation. A little better outdoor furniture would have been nice. Some of the decking around the pool needs to be secured and some of the railings on the upstairs deck are broken. This could be a safety hazard. The owners should consider expanding that deck upstairs all the way across instead of having that window there. A little TLC for this cottage would make it so much better!
