Lake at Highlands Nature Center is 1/4 mile away. There isn't a more peaceful spot anywhere in town
The Kelsey Trail, one block from the Guest House, leads to this magnificent view of Whiteside Mtn.

Dry Falls is one of four major falls in the area and is a 10 minute drive from the Guest House

Inquire for a special quote if you have more than three adults- there is an optional third bedroom on lower level which can be used for two additional adults. Located in the beautiful North Highlands Historic District of large old homes and charming mountain cottages on a cool, tree-filled hillside with a view of Satulah Mountain. Highlands is a safe, wonderful town for pedestrians. Within half a mile or less, you can find shopping, fine dining, pubs, pizza, live theater, art galleries, movies, nature areas, small lakes, hiking trails, a performing arts center, a public outdoor (heated) swimming pool, tennis courts, health food store, gourmet grocery store with wine department, deli, and coffee shops. Parking is off-street and directly adjacent to the cottage. Airport: Asheville: 80.2 mi
While the Asheville Airport is the closest, Greenville-Spartanburg is only a two hour drive, and the Atlanta Airport is 2.5 miles (not counting any traffic jams), and both offer better connections. Driving from Asheville via Franklin, you will pass by four major waterfalls on Hwy 64E. Take your time and enjoy!
