A quiet, big rig friendly RV Park right next to the Tuckasegee River with private decks, Full-hookups, picnic table & fire ring on each site. Beach area, bathhouse, laundry, firewood, ice, drink machine available. Central located between Bryson City & Cherokee NC. GSMR stream engine travels across the trussell along side the park.

A Perfect Site On The River

Unbeknownst to us, we had a dead cell in our RV battery and it killed our alternator while driving two hours to this campground. When we stopped the RV to go check in, we were unable to restart in order to drive to our site. It was Easter Sunday, all local places were closed, and were did not get a cell signal in order to call a cab to take us to somewhere to purchase a new battery. Laura's son helped to try and jump off our battery to no avail. Her husband, who should not have been walking due to a blood clot in his leg, brought his meter out to help diagnose the problem. Luckily he had some batteries sitting around and we bought one off of him. The posts were on the opposite side of the new battery so he had to do some rigging to get it hooked up, complete with extra wire and a pair of vice grips! They went way out of their way to ensure we could start our vacation and for that we are so grateful. Our deck was solid and came with two sets of lights and a ceiling fan. The views and sounds of the river were beautiful and relaxing. All the other campers/residents there were very friendly and waved or spoke whenever they passed. This is a beautiful and very reasonably priced campground in the mountains and we cannot wait to return.
