The cabin features a loft, two large bedrooms and two and a half baths. The large window seat in the upstairs bedroom is a great spot to snuggle up with the provided pillows and blankets to read, gaze at the view or take an afternoon nap.
The full-size kitchen has all the appliances and utensils a gourmet chef could wish for. For your convenience, there is a separate laundry/mudroom with a full-size washer and dryer.
For your entertainment, the cabin offers 4 TV's, one a 55-inch smart TV in living room, 50' TV's in master and in loft, plus a 37' TV in the second bedroom, FREE WIFI! DVD, DSS satellite system, pool table, books, and board games.
Is this a flex-cation? Do you need to work while you are on vacation? Eagles Nest is set up with FREE high speed Internet so you can host or attend a Zoom meeting, and perform all your computer work functions right here. We also provide a desk with basic office supplies. Your fellow workers will be jealous when you show them the view from your perch at Eagles Nest Hideaway.
Outside amenities include a 6 person Hot Tub, gas grill, magnificent oversized Firepit (wood provided) with seating for eight people. Enjoy a meal at the picnic bench or the patio table on the deck or just relax on the rockers under the covered porch.
Eagles Nest is very private and secluded yet just 10 minutes to the Nantahala Outdoor Center where you can enjoy all the action and adventure of North Carolina. We are the last cabin up the mountain and there no cabins close to you. All you hear are the sounds of nature, the wind rustling through the trees and peace and quiet.
This cabin which sleeps up to 6 people is perfect for a romantic getaway, couples get together, a family vacation, or family event. You won’t find another mountain home for your vacation like this one.

My wife and I where looking for a beautiful place in the mountains to renew our vows. We were so lucky to find the Eagles Nest Hideaway!! The view off the back deck is breathtaking!! Our ceremony and pictures turned out perfect. The views look like they came straight out of a painting! Unreal!! The cabin was also top-notch! Fully equipped and probably the cleanest cabin that I've ever stayed in. It definitely exceeded our expectations.

Eagles Nest has the best views.
Eagles Nest is situated almost on the top of the mountain and has the best views we have ever seen. Over the last 12 years we have rented several cabins in TN and NC and Eagles Nest wins hands down. The cabin is spacious with beautiful wood work and gorgeous views. During our stay we had the best of both worlds with sunny valley views to later in the week breath taking snow. Loved our vacation so much we booked another 2 weeks later this year. Owners are superb and respond quickly to any and all needs. Great experience and fun for out family.

Absolutely Stunning! Highly Recommended!
Stuart was extremely helpful and responsive - great property owner! My wife and I had such a relaxing time at Eagles Nest. The place is extremely clean and very cozy. The view of the mountains was spectacular - we could see the clouds rolling down the mountain side. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a trip to the Great Smokey's. Even though we didn't participate this time, there is excellent white water rafting close by. Thank you Stuart for allowing us to stay. God bless!

Thanksgiving in the mountains
This cabin made our thanksgiving vacation perfect! The view is unreal and the coziness inside made our toddlers feel right at home. We loved seeing the smoke over the mountains and playing outside. The gas fireplace made keeping warm inside very easy. The beds were comfy and the baby gates made it easy to monitor our boys and the stairs. They LOVED taking a bath in the jacuzzi tub at night. Thanks for the awesome memories and for putting the decorations up for us!

Awesome views! Lovely home!
We had a great stay at Eagles Nest Hideaway. This home is beautiful and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. I hope to return when the weather is warmer so I can enjoy the outside decks more fully. Highly recommended!

Great Experiences
Wife and I had a marvelous four day trip to the mountains with the best view ever the house was amazing. The owner was informative throughout the entire process. The house was better than what I expected it had everything we needed to be comfortable and relax. I’m already planning my return visit.

Excellent property and owners
Eagle’s Nest was a perfect home base for a week of outdoor adventure. We hiked in Nantahala and the Smokies all day, then returned for a soak in the hot tub, dinner cooked on the grill, and a couple games of billiards. Stuart and Melody were excellent hosts, sharing info on the area prior to our visit, and making sure we had everything we needed at the home. It was clean and well stocked. And the view... amazing!!

Great Vacation Home

The PERFECT Getaway!!
This luxurious home was perfect in every way for our family of 3 and our 4 legged friend. All amenities we needed were at our fingertips, and the check-in process was seamless. We have been traveling to Western North Carolina for the past 10 years and Eagles Nest Hideaway, Bryson City was the pinnacle of all those experiences. Stuart and Melody were, by far, the most professional, accommodating, caring home owners we have dealt with in all those years. They were even very helpful throughout our stay with minor questions and details. Everything was perfect upon our arrival. The house was stunning and the views were jaw-dropping. Perfectly located high on a mountain top for ultimate privacy yet 15 minutes from the NOC for world class rapids fun. The home is first class all the way, you can tell extreme pride and love go into this amazing structure. Not only did Stuart and Melody provide tasteful decorating, soft towels and comfortable bedding, they had arranged a surprise of fine wine and scrumptious truffles. This incredible treat greeted us on the kitchen island with a beautiful card for our 27th anniversary! THANK YOU SO MUCH we LOVED IT!! Stuart and Melody make it able to focus on the vacation itself vs the mechanics of property rental as everything ran super smooth. Did we mention the hot tub? Under the stars? Grab your glass of wine, put some jazz on and check out the Milky Way, the views will leave you breathless. After soaking under the stars you can shoot a game of pool on the second floor of Eagles Nest Hideaway overlooking the mountains with a bonus Jacuzzi in the same room! Furthermore, floor to ceiling windows will have you salivating over an ever changing daily view from mountains that start with a bejeweled sunrise and finish with a pastel canvas of epic sorts. A photographer's dream come true. The house is filled with amazing natural light, it's perfectly furnished, and everything used in the house is of the best quality. Furthermore, Stuart and Melody are pet friendly owners and received our German Shepherd with open arms. Tula is extremely grateful to have enjoyed a luxury vacation and woofs her approval! Our entire experience was overall PERFECT and we indeed felt at home. Thank you for the joy and delight of staying in such a lovely spot. Exceptional in every way. We highly recommend booking Eagles Nest Hideaway and look forward to being Melody and Stuart's guests again soon!

A mountain getaway that was heaven on earth!
From the moment we arrived and walked into Eagles Nest Hideaway, we knew how special our stay would be. I’ve never stayed at a rental property that had such a home-like feel. It was like staying with your favorite relative in their cozy home. We were home for our stay.
Every room was perfectly decorated and beyond comfortable. The view out the front windows over looking the Great Smoky Mountains were breathtaking, whether from the living room or the loft. The view out the second floor bedroom windows? Amazing. And, the deck... Beautiful. So many options to watch the beauty of the mountains. We couldn’t decide where to sit and watch sunrise! It was amazing in every spot.
The instructions for our stay were impeccable. We didn’t question anything and had no surprises. The owner, Stuart, has thought every aspect through when communicating with his renters. He gets 5 stars alone for that.
During this stay, we chose to stay at the cabin and not venture down the mountain until we had to head home. There was no shortage of activities while at the cabin. Besides the amazing walks outside, there were books to read, games to play, a pool table, a luxurious jacuzzi upstairs, and a gourmet kitchen to cook meals and feel at home. Oh and did I mention the hot tub outside under the stars?!
If I had to pick one favorite part of our stay, it would be waking up in the amazing master bedroom (oh that heavenly mattress!!), making coffee in the kitchen, watching the sunrise, and then heading out for a walk. Second favorite... Sitting in front of the fire pit, watching the sunset, and then looking at all the stars in the sky once it was dark.
Since arriving back home, we can’t stop thinking about our next visit to Eagles Nest Hideaway. It will forever be our home away from home. Thank you to Stuart for endless memories from our stay at Eagles Nest Hideaway!

Our location is perfect for outdoor activities. The Nantahala River and The Nantahala Outdoor Center are located 8 minutes away at the bottom of the mountain. The Nantahala is a fun family friendly river for rafting, kayaking.
