Talk about perfection! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! The views are breathtaking, and the hospitality at it's finest. Joanie & Gary really have thought of everything! We were so sad we had to leave, what an amazing, relaxing couple of days. We are already planning our next trip.

My husband and I had a three night stay at the West Wing this past week and it was the perfect and safe renewal we needed after being mostly home bound for four months due to Covid-19. The two story condo was very clean, well appointed, arts and crafts style decorations with whimsy inside and out in their beautifully landscaped gardens, sitting atop a crest on a mountain with spectacular views from both sides of the condo. We loved the seeming 20 plus bird feeders in view on the front and back side, though envious that somehow the squirrels left 19 of them alone! We grilled pork chops for one night and got two great take-out dinners from Casa Rustica ( in Boone) that we ate on our second floor deck with a breeze and view that was far superior to any restaurant. You can walk a mile loop on their 20 acre property or extend it if you wish. The pool table is a bonus. Gary and Joanie were kind and helpful throughout. Made reservations to return in August, so you know it was special!

Our desire was for a quiet place for a few days with great mountain views. The West Wing fulfilled all expectations. Unit is very well equipped and comfortable. The location 10 minutes from Boone and maybe 20 minutes from Blowing Rock. Had a wonderful stay.

West Wing is awesome. We had perfect weather, amazing scenery, birds galore, as well as deer outside our window daily. The sunset plus sunrise views from the apartment cannot be beat. My husband and I talked seriously about how we could get anything near this cool for "retirement". It is so relaxing and comfortable. It felt like a little bit of heaven for a week.

We were blown away with the breathtaking views the beautiful accommodation with all the amenities you would have in your own home. What a fantastic break we had and we will be back, we have stayed at other places in the mountains but this place tops them all by far. Everything about it was exquisite and the hosts were just wonderful generous people that were there to make your stay perfect. Thank you so much Joanie and Gary and we will be back again, no other place matches this that we have stayed at.

Beautiful setting! Home is elegant and immaculate without being stuffy. Comfortable bed and pillows; fluffy towels; well-stocked kitchen; spacious deck, porch swing, and private hot tub. Gas fireplaces if there's a chill. I truly enjoyed watching all the birds (binoculars and field guide provided!), and I was inspired to buy my first bird feeder while in Blowing Rock! West Wing condo is attached to the main house but feels completely separate. Owners are available by text but not intrusive. Several great restaurants 10-15min easy drive. I plan to return next spring!

Wife and I stayed for a few nights and had the best time. The place is outstanding in every way one could imagine. The mountain views are tremendous. A really high class place.

If there is heaven on earth, it should be at Kilkelly's... I feel conflicted writing this review as I would rather not tell anyone about this incredible place, one that I will definitely revisit. Imagine sitting at the top of a mountain with a 360-degree view of the Blue Ridge mountains. You are breathing in the beautiful shades of green under the vast sky. It is hard not to dream or feel like a queen (king) here... Take a stroll down the pathway around the property and say "hi" to the yellow finches and hummingbirds, raise a glass at the overlook to an endless sky, swing towards the panoramic view, read at your balcony overlooking the hills while opening your ears and heart to the sounds of nature and silence, pick up lettuce and basil from the garden of your generous hosts, cook a lovely dinner while facing the mountains, dip in your hot tub under the stars, take a run down the trail to the cascades, shoot some pool in your basement... What you can do at Kilkelly's is limited by your imagination. The attention to detail in the condo, and its overall elegance is mind-blowing. Plus, if you get a chance to speak with your hosts, Joanie and Gary, it will all make sense. They are absolutely wonderful people and even their dog Annie is so loving.. Just visit Kilkelly's and leave yourself to the flow of the day...

Blowing Rock is one of our favorite vacation spots. We usually go 2 or 3 times per year and usually stay in different locations. The Kilkelly's condo has, by far, the best view of any of the other places we have stayed. We were a bit reluctant to book the condo when we saw that it was part of their primary residence. We were concerned about privacy, but the condo is on the far side of their house with a completely separate entrance. There was no issue with privacy at all. The Kilkelly's were very welcoming and encouraged us to explore their property and take advantage of all it had to offer. They've done such a great job with the property. They have lots of bird houses, feeders and baths and it was so nice watching the birds each morning. We also saw bunnies and our son fell in love with their dog. Unfortunately we were only booked for two nights. I was not ready to return to daily life. The view is so fantastic and it's so relaxing there. I think the only problem with this rental is that it seems to be quite popular. Their calendar seems to be pretty booked. We hope to return in May or June when the flowers are in bloom - I'm sure it is even more gorgeous then.

There are not enough adjectives to describe our stay at the Kilkelly's West Wing Condo. We would not change a single thing. The Kilkelly's have thought of everything, and didn't leave a single thing out. This place is suitable for couples, or people traveling with kids. We absolutely enjoyed it and can't wait to go back next year. The views are astounding. Gary and Joanie are very welcoming and friendly. It is easy to tell that they love what they do. Their hospitality beats any 5 star resort.
