Poor service
We had a very bad experience with Blue Ridge Rentals. We recently rented the Boles Lodge, Blowing Rock, NC at a cost of aprox $2,000 for a weekend family vacation. On Sunday morning, my daughter and 4-year-old grandson had what appeared to be multiple BED BUG BITES. I called Blue Mountain Realty to inform them. The next day I got an email from Casey the GM stating they would investigate it. I left two VM for her but she never returned the calls. The next day, Blue Ridge forwarded an email from their Terminix person stating that a complete house inspection was done and no bed bugs were found. I requested a copy of the findings on Terminix letterhead confirming this. They failed to provide one. I sent pictures of the bites my daughter and grandson received and a Doctor’s report confirming they were BED BUG BITES. Some of the bites were infected and my daughter was put on antibiotics. They offered $100 for my inconvenience (which I did not accept) and referred to the contract, “Per line 10 of the rental contract you signed on December 24th, you agreed not to expect refunds due to inconveniences, including pests.” I do not believe BED BUGS are considered pests. It is a reasonable expectation that a rental would be free of bed bugs. So be careful what you sign with Blue Ridge Rentals.

Birthday fun!
We celebrated my girlfriend's 30th birthday here with a group of close friends and had a wonderful time at Boles Lodge. It was a beautiful space, located conveniently to Boone, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and hot tub under the stars.

"BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL MOUNTAIN RETREAT"
Beautiful cabin for a group. Large, very well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Dining table for 10+ guest. Weather was uncooperative, but we stayed busy in the game room.
Hot tub was great for our weary bones after traveling to see a few of the destinations we had come to the area for; Grandfather mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway.
We will definitely consider staying here again.

The spacious main level master suite has king-sized bed, private deck, 32-inch HDTV, and private master bath with a glamour tub and a large separate shower. Also on the main level are another bedroom with a twin over full bunkbed and trundle bed with a TV, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and a bedroom with a queen bed and a 45-inch TV & DVD/VCR player.
Outside is the huge partially covered, well-furnished deck with a wonderful Jacuzzi brand hot tub, a woodburning fireplace, plenty of deck furniture and a gas grill. In winter months, catch a glimpse of Appalachian Ski Mountain across the valley.
The upper level contains a room with a king bed and cable TV, a room with a queen bed and HDTV, and the 3rd full bathroom with a tub/shower.
Downstairs is an expansive game room. This room is perfect for the whole family to be entertained, with its pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table.
Situated on ten private, wooded acres just 10 minutes from Main Street, Blowing Rock, 5 minutes to Boone shopping and dining, and close to all High Country attractions, Boles Lodge is an exceptional mountain retreat!

Additional notes:
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.

- This property is pet friendly for up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs only. Pet fee is $25/nt per pet.
- 4WD or AWD is recommended November through April and may be required in times of inclement weather.
- This home has a Doorbell camera monitoring to main entryway only, no other cameras are present at the property.
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
