This is one of the best rentals we've found in ages. The house is very comfortable, warm, clean and well-lit. The kitchen has all modern appliances and is quite spacious. There is a terrific balcony with great views. Bages is ideally located, surrounded by the lagoon and all it's birdlife, with restaurants and cafés literally on the doorstep. Great for cycling, wind surfing, sailing, walking... and Narbonne is just a hop and a skip up the road. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

From the stylish interiors, to the comfy beds and incredible views from the balcony, this house is a wonderful place to stay.

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus in einem angenehm beschaulichen Ort. Perfekt um auszuspannen. Das Haus ist sehr groß, sehr gut und individuell eingerichtet und die Heizung funktioniert super. Was gerade im Winter wichtig für das Wohlbefinden ist. Von den oberen Stockwerken und der Dachterrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Etang und zu den Pyrenäen. Und bei Sonnenschein und Windstille kann man auch im Winter ein spätes Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse einnehmen. Wir haben uns in den zwei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher wiederkommen. Die Eigentümerin und auch ihre Hausmeisterin vor Ort waren sehr hilfsbereit. Merci beaucoup!

Nadia and Mark's house exceeded expectations, so often are holiday houses better in the details than reality but this was perfect. Super house, lovely style, lots of character, and space. Wonderful views. Bages and surrounding area a real revelation, as was Narbonne. I thoroughly recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at this super pretty house in the little square of Bages, overlooking the cafe des Beaux Arts and the fountain. An abundance of Bourganvillia, cafe tables and chairs, and pretty coloured shutters.....classically French. The house is much larger than imagined, set over 3 floors with a huge open plan living area and very well equipped kitchen. The roof top terrace offers sunrise views over the etang - a perfect spot morning coffee and in fact captured the sun all day. We spent a fabulous day out in Collioure (1hr 15mins) and also took a day trip to Spain visiting Cadaques and the incredible Cap de Creus (2 hrs 15 mins) . The beautiful city of Narbonne is 10 mins away with train links to nearby Bezier for the airport.

A beautiful, spacious and stylish home in a perfect location. The house itself was very comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped. The little terrace area was a bonus - we were able to enjoy a glass in the evening before dinner whilst taking in the beautiful views down to the village square, with a couple of lovely restaurants and across to the lagoon beyond. This is a great base from which to explore the region with it’s gorgeous towns and fabulous beaches. The owners were extremely helpful with plenty of information and recommendations. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely spacious house which has been beautifully renovated and furnished and has everything you need for a great holiday. The views from the top floor terrace and sitting room are spectacular and from downstairs you can watch village life in the square! The large kitchen/diner is very well equipped so cooking at home is easy but we were tempted by the lovely restaurant/cafe, Les Jardins de Bages across the square and often ate there sitting out under the trees. It also has a small shop where you can buy croissant and bread plus basic provisions. Nadia provided lots of useful information about the surrounding area plus some really good directions for finding Bages and when you get to Bages it's easy, just follow the signs to the Mairie which is in the square. All very helpful after a less than perfect Ryanair flight which meant we arrived after dark! We would definitely recommend this stylish comfortable house and we hope to return next year.

We love this part of France and the Mediterranean coast and usually we stay in Collioure but it has become more and more crowded, full of tourists and difficult to park or drive in and out so we decided to try a different village a little further up the coast and we are so glad that we found this beautiful house right in the centre of the charming village of Bages. We loved having breakfast in the café on the square every morning and then walking down to the lagoon. There are vineyards and chateaux all around so we did lots of wine tasting and we also visited Narbonne and Carcassonne and further afield. The restaurant in the square serves wonderful food and, unlike in Collioure, here we didn’t feel that we were paying overpriced tourist rates. The house is in the prime spot in the village and the views over the lagoon are just stunning. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful time in Bages in this beautiful apartment. The place oozes historic charm and the tastefully decorated rooms with well equipped kitchen really set it apart from the standard type of rental you normally find in France. It's also set in a great position for the beach in Narbonne and some of the stunning coastal villages like Collioure only 30mins drive away. We will definitely return again one day!
