Guests comment most that they love the house, the views, how clean it is, how at home they feel, the extra touches and how it allowed them to reconnect with friends, family and nature.
We are near to all Roxbury area wedding venues, to 4 major ski resorts - Belleayre, Plattekill, Windham and Hunter. We have 4 nearby golf courses. Catskill Mountain State Park and Mine Kill State Park for recreation, as well as the rails to trails (19 miles for hiking, biking). kayak and fish on the newly opened New York reservoirs. One of the best dirt biking resorts (Plattekill). Other area activities - horseback riding, tubing and spa treatments in Phoencia. Shopping and multiple area restaurants are available in Margaretville - 12 minutes and Roxbury - 5 minutes. Shopping includes an excellent supermarket, farmers market, antiques, art galleries, Kitchen store, bed & bath shop, liquor store. 40 minute drive to Woodstock. 1 hour to Cooperstown - Baseball hall of fame.
Beautiful house, every amenity,gorgeous views. Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Owner was very helpful with local places of interest and cuisine.

This house has everything!
Spent 2 nights here and was very happy with everything. This house is loaded with everything you need to have a great time. The wood burning stove was very relaxing. There was plenty of room for me and my 7 friends. The property is gorgeous and the fire pit was the star of the night. The house is very clean and the owner is extremely helpful! Would definitely go back. Excellent!

Perfect place to celebrate our mother's 60th birthday and we even got to bring the pups too:)
The family had a great time celebrating our mother's 60th birthday at the Catskill Mountain View House. We have two small dogs who are just as much family as the rest of us and so being able to bring them along was a deal breaker. When Jen said it was fine to bring the pups we pretty much didn't care about anything else but we were sure in for a pleasant surprise once we arrived.
Jen was so accommodating that she even agreed to let us check-in early which was amazing because this was actually a surprise get together so it bought us some time to get situated before the birthday girls arrival.
We cooked and grilled all weekend and even bought some local ingredients from the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market on Route 30 in Halcottsville.
At night we toasted marshmallows around the fire pit and had lots of laughs while overlooking the beautiful mountain backdrop with a sky full of stars.
There's not much more to say other than we would love to stay again and would definitely recommend the house to others.

Wonderful House
My wife and I wanted to rent a secluded spot in the Catskills that allowed dogs and was kid friendly this place was perfect. Close to good swimming and dining and house was beautiful in and out! Highly recommend.

Serene beauty and great family bonding
My family and I had such a wonderful time in this house, and in the community around the house. Beautiful views, relaxing vibe, great restaurants in Margaretville, and a great pizza place called Oakley's right on Route 28. Also, really good supermarket in Margaretville. We hiked, we went kayaking on the reservoir, antiquing in Margaretville and andes. The house itself is roomy with an awesome kitchen fully stocked with anything that you could possibly need. Great games in the basement and smores at the firepit looking up at the stars. But the best part was reconnecting with family without the stress of everyday life. My son keeps talking about the kayaking and the wildlife that we saw on our hikes. Thanks Jennifer and we will be back!!!

Best house ever
The house is in a beautiful setting. So many things to do in the area from antique shopping, golf in the summer, winter skiing, hiking, really great restaurants. Once you've seen the house though, you won't want to leave. Great layout for families, group of friends, special occasions or just getting away to a special place. everything is provided for your stay. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, outdoor fire pit!!! Watch shooting stars at night. Jennifer has thought of everything. Even a playroom with toys and games! No preparation is needed on your part. Just show up for a fabulous stay.

The Catskill Mountain View House is situated as the 2nd house to the end of a dead end town maintained road in Denver, New York. Convenient to a great supermarket, many area restaurants and shops as we are located between the towns of Margaretville, Roxbury and Fleischmann's. Skiing at 4 area mountains - Belleayre and Plattekill 10 - 15 minutes away, Windham and Hunter - 30 minutes. Golf at 4 area courses. Some of the best fishing in the Esopus. Kayak and boating on the newly opened New York City reservoirs. Near to Belleayre Beach and the Catskill park and Mine Kill State Park for hiking/swimming, etc. Mountain Bike riding at Plattekill. Concerts at Bellearye. Art galleries and events. Area trips to Woodstock, Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Cooperstown Base Ball Hall of Fame and Farm museum. A car is needed - and in winter a 4 wheel or all wheel drive is better.
