We stayed at the Elea Casa in early Oct. of 2017 and were disappointed by the apartment. It's a new build and everything is new and shiny. But it's like a showroom apartment where everything looks good and very little works. The hot tub would never get hot and would run constantly (no way to turn it off). The lock on the front door spun around and attempts to lock and unlock the door were frustrating. The sliding closet doors were constantly coming off the tracks. Most annoying of all is that we didn't have water in the mornings. Not even a trickle. We were never able to take a shower before ten at night. I called the manager about it and he said that there was probably a problem with the water. No kidding. The no water problem, so far as I could tell, was a continuing problem with this unit.
When we arranged to rent the unit, we did so because of the view in the photo that the Elea uses. Keep in mind, this unit is not cheap but I figured the view would be worth it. As it turns out, this isn't exactly the view that it has. Yes, you can see the view in the photo, but that's an angled view. The view straight out is of a two story building that completely blocks the view of the caldera. Worse, the top floor of the building is a taverna that looks directly onto the small patio and hot tub, the bedroom and the living room. The photo was a con. Would I recommend the place. No. I'm not interested in living in a show room where things look good and nothing much works. But if you're looking for a grand view, this place isn't it.
