The gallery beneath the living space is equipped with a gas fireplace and filled with a unique show of Tom's work. Both spaces are part of the same property and provided for guests only. The Brook House Gallery Experience is a truly unique river town get away for any season. The living space is above the gallery space. The living space consists of 660 sq ft; a single bedroom with queen bed, dresser, soft lighting and night stand. Everything in the space is new. The bathroom has a corner shower and large 3 mirror wall. We provide amenities like towels, sheets, shampoo and little extras to make the space comfortable and friendly. The living room has a large couch, TV with cable, WIFI, and a Google Home for music and other services. The table is a smaller bar table. A book shelf with small sculptures stands in the corner. There are lots of lighting patterns to choose from. The kitchen is complete with large 4 burner gas stove, a micro wave above it, toaster oven a small dishwasher and a large size full fridge and freezer. We provide all the kitchen amenities like a blender, teas, spices, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, towels etc..... The gallery space below at ground level is entered through a separate door. The gallery show right now is called, 'Portraits in Ice, from Stone Age Tools to Flight'. It is also 660 sq ft. There are 2 comfy chairs and a small table facing the gas fireplace for hanging out and viewing of the work, or just warming up. There is a half bath in the gallery and a small sink. Lots of lights make the art and sculpture pop. Directly outside the gallery is a small private courtyard for relaxing. There is a gas fire table; 2 low slung modern chairs with cushions and a new grill for cooking. Four larger scale sculptures are set in the courtyard. A stream runs right next to the property, a tributary to the Delaware River across the street. It is about 22 feet below the surface of the ground and road. It does not seem like much, but when you get down to water level, it is really pristine. The big Delaware River is literally 400 ft from the Brook House. Just across RT 97 at the Barryville Bridge. There is a public access right below the bridge by the circular parking area. There is also a pedestrian walk way across the bridge to PA. A cool place to hang out at sunset. More

About the neighborhood
Barryville is a small upstate river town. A cross roads to Pennsylvania. There is a restaurant/bar across the street names the Carriage House. Pretty local and dressed down. A farmers market in season on Saturdays. A river market that has all the basics. The roads quickly take you into the country. Eagles are nesting permanently just north of the bridge. Reber Rafters is just across the street for rafting and tubing in season. It gets super quiet at night, the day is like a country crossroads.
Getting around
The Brook House has plenty of on site parking. There is no public transport that I know of; though sometimes the towns arrange a bus during the season.
