I took my daughter here for her birthday and we loved our stay in the Aldous Huxley cabin. The cabin is rustic, but has everything you need to have a most enjoyable stay...kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. We loved waking up to the rooster crowing and going to sleep hearing the crickets and frogs. They have nice subdued lighting...

We would not have found this place if my brother had not known the owner's daughter's family. My husband, sister and I plus two dogs stayed here in this little cabin while my brother, his wife and daughter stayed in a beautiful little house down the road on the property for four nights or so. Eric and Elizabeth (and their...

First, we never got the address of the property, and it wasn't on their website or in our reservation confirmation email. We had to find it somewhere online. The cabin was cute, but we couldn't get in when we first got there (after 8 hours of driving). We had no email or call with directions on how to get into...

About the neighborhood
Our cabins are surrounded by national forest and the land has creeks, ponds, aspens and cottonwood trees, flower gardens, stone paths, goji, raspberry and apple orchards and great views of the mountains. Wonderful space for skiers, family retreats, artists writers or just to to kick back in, take walks or fish. Our place is also a bird sanctuary and a couple of dedicated bird watchers counted up tp 100 different species! There is a play ground outside and we are adding animals to our petting zoo.

Our place is close to natural hot springs and the Hondo river, swimmable in the summer, For the keen eyes, the surrounding hills have Indian pottery charts hidden under layers of dirt and sometimes popping up without effort.

Taos Ski Valley reminds us of the Swiss/French/Austrian founders&#...
