What a fantastic location to explore the garden route and to be able just kick back and relax with the most awesome views of the lagoon and mountains.

My son came across this place and we all fell in love with it and had a family reunion for two days. Everything is amazing and perfect, oodles of accommodation, great decks for braaing on. We were so comfortable their that we hardly went out and just chilled and relaxed. No restuarants for us we braaied both nights. We had a fantastic time and we all felt well rested and relaxed. I would thoroughly recommend staying here, great holiday place.

Sedgies is a great place to stay, the house has everything you need, the outside areas of the house are excellent with 2 really big sized balconies giving everyone an opportunity to sit and relax whilst enjoying the tremendous views of the lagoon. Gail, Dudley and Laurian are great hosts.

What an amazing option in such a gorgeous slow seaside town - definitely a top choice - definitely planning to go back! The views are incredible (whether your room looks over the water or into the lush garden) and it's literally RIGHT ON THE WATER - there is even a little path and steps down to the rocky lagoon. It's quiet and private and the hosts have thought of everything you could need - so your stay is the utmost in comfort including chocolates on the pillow! Everything was perfectly clean - and the fact that you take your shoes off at the door was perfect! Lots of space, beautiful terraces (covered and warm with extra blankets) and wait, did I mention the views?! An easy choice for Sedgefield! Also, make sure you visit the local market if you're around over a weekend.

Ved aftentide maler den smukke solnedgang de bakkede skråninger i et mageløst skær. Husets gæstfrie og engagerede værtspar gav de danske PTP- gæster en uforglemmelig oplevelse. Absolut et genbesøg værd.

Would recommend this place to anyone. Exceptional views and accommodation. The rooms and house were all great. They even had board games which helped at night when we didn’t want to go out. Only very minor issue was the internet kept dropping out or slow. Mosquitos were a pain but all beds had netting. We just went out and bought our own coils to repel them. As I said very minor problems considering how nice everything was and did I mention the views. We had a big braai cookup using the outdoor Webber. Was a fantastic night. Big thank you to Gail and Dudley for everything.

True to its name, Sedgies on the Water is right by the lagoon. We spent many hours at low tide reading by the water and enjoying the use of the canoe. Having a morning cup of tea, seeing the fish jump out the water and hearing the birds chirping is the perfect start to a day. The view is magnificent and there's so much to do around Sedgefield, from paragliding to markets and restaurants. The house itself is just perfect. The hosts really thought of everything one might need to be comfortable. Definitely recommending Sedgies on the Water to everyone!

We had such a wonderful time at Sedgies on the Water! The room I stayed in overlooked the water - such stunning views! - but the windows had lovely solid blinds making it shady and cool when we wanted to sleep in too. The whole apartment was beautifully clean, well-equipped, and certainly encouraged one to relax. I especially loved that everyone took off their shoes at the door. The hosts were very considerate and we were greeted with a fruit bowl, bottle of wine, chocolates on the pillows - even bug spray for balmy nights spent of the deck - small touches that really made us feel welcome. There is direct access to the lagoon and we swam, sunbathed and rowed out in the little boat provided - what a treat! Sedgefield is a lovely slow town with lovely beaches, a local market and even paragliding from the hill above. I can't wait to stay here again!
