Ryan's Place was by far the best family vacation location we have ever enjoyed.
My wife, two sons (4 & 15 yrs), and I had the privilege of enjoying the superb hospitality of the owners at Ryan's Place for our one month family vacation.
This is the best of all worlds. The accommodations had everything we needed and more: including a luxurious pool with the most breathtaking views of the ocean and Hout Bay beach; easy access to the beach, all the linen we could desire, a full kitchen, and white glove house cleaning services at our beck and call.
Ryan's Place also provided close access to the Cape Town 'citi-bus' shuttle which offered access to all of the surrounding beaches, all of the major sitea, the city center, and even the wine farms of Constantia.
Our boys enjoyed the close proximity of the seal island ferries, the beautiful white beach, the children's play area, and the Hout Bay nursery with children's enchanted forest.
We highly recommend this location for anyone seeking to enjoy the wonders of Cape Town, while still finding a place of refuge to truly relax.
The owners were incredibly hospitable and catered to our every need. Thank you so much James and Line for creating this tranquil masterpiece in Hout Bay. We have already booked for next year.

How to get there
From Cape Town International Airport, take the N2 towards the city centre then take the M3 Muizenberg exit in the direction of Rondebosch/Claremont. Continue past the University of Cape Town and at the traffic lights turn right into Rhodes Drive, following the signs for Kirstenbosch/Hout Bay. Proceed past Kistenbosch and up Constantia Nek, still following signs for Hout Bay. At the top of Constantia Nek continue straight through the traffic circle and on to Main Road towards Hout Bay. Proceed straight at the traffic circle when entering Hout Bay, with SAP Headquarters on the left, and past the BP and Shell Garage. At the second traffic circle turn right into Princess Street and continue past the entrance of The Beach Club on the left. At the following traffic circle bear left towards the beach along Harbour Road and take the second road right into Northshore Drive. At the stop sign turn left and bear left all the way into Sluysken Road until the bend. The first triple-storey house on the left after the bend is Ryan’s Place, at No. 17.
