We have stayed at the Grand Desert a number of times and the facilities and staff (for the most part) are very nice. The location is great - we go for the basketball tournaments at Thomas and Mac and this location is walking distance to the arena and The Hard Rock Casino is about half way so you can always stop for a some fun in between. It's just a Las Vegas block off the strip by MGM Grand and they also provide a shuttle to Harrahs. Having your own kitchen, dining room and front room, besides the dual bedroom/bathrooms, is great for saving money on coffee, breakfast or a midnight snack. They also have adult and family pools, small movie theater etc. The only bad thing is that it is a time-share facility so they will pressure you (these staff members are hard sell but the rest of the staff are very friendly) to go to the "free" breakfast and go though the time-share sell which is pretty hard pressure. We made the mistake of dong this the first year and they did not like no for an answer. After that each year we no longer agree to go to the breakfast - they are a little pushy but if you push back there is nothing they can do if you are booking the room from an existing owner under their time-share agreement. So depending on your tolerance for hard-sell and the ability to stand your ground this may be the place for you.

The room was great!! 2bdrm fully furnished . Plenty of space. The room was clean and aesthetically appealing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pools were a little shallow and water was a bit cold. Not much in regards to on site dining options. Location was easy walking distance to the Strip. Might consider staying here again depending on my needs.

This rental was all that I had hoped for! It was neat, clean and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The shuttle was very convenient and the staff were so helpful. The pools and grounds were well kept. I would definitley recommend anyone to stay here.

Stayed 5 nights in a 2 bdr suite, in tower 1. Great room, great amenities, the mstr bdroom is large, confy, great firm mattress, separate toilet, shower + large corner Jacuzzi bath. Great tv package, good soundproof. 2 things need improvement: both showers had weak water flow and the washer was not working correctly. Besides that, the stay was perfect and cheaper than 2 bedrooms in an equivalent 4* hotel. Would absolutely come back.

This two bedroom condominium style villa was great for three to four people. Master-suit had a spacious bathroom and bedroom. A Kitchen that was supplied with all the utensils you would need cups, wine glasses, forks ect. Living area was tight ,but no matter you won't spend to much time there. Second bedroom had two double beds and of course a separate bathroom. Our room over looked the pool great view, but at night you can see through the windows of the other guest rooms (so use cation). I heard in previous reviews you might be pressured by the "sales" staff to buy a time share or take the tour. I did not have that problem as a matter of fact no one bothered us. You can't check in until 4p.m. so don't bother showing up earlier. Once checked in they will send you over to the "sales counter" across the lobby and unless you want a tour or time share DON'T except the"FREE" gift (NOTHING IS FREE). However they will give you shuttle passes from the resort to the Harras Casion take and use those. The strip is about what feels like 6 blocks away and you shouldn't have to walk that. You have a view of the strip, but still far away enough there is not much to do outside of the resort. One negative thing I will say though some of the staff members I believe they were part of janitorial staff were in my opinion very inappropriate at times. So much so they whistled as we left the elevator! Also one of the shuttle drivers likes to drive like he is in NASCAR so just be care with him. Otherwise a must rent if you have a group of people especially women and need the space on a reasonable budget.

stayed here for nine days in september,really enjoyed it.the resort is about 150yards of strip right behind imperial palace.you look right on to the new ferris wheel as you leave the resort. rooms where spacious,full kitchen,dining table and 4 chairs.pull out sofa bed in living room,one separate bedroom.bathroom with double tub and shower above.balcony with 2 chairs and table,utility room of balcony with washer and dryer.units are all over three levels,we were on top floor but there are no elevators,there are five pools on site.staff were very good,there was free shuttles to various places including freemont street this was very useful.can get noise between floors so would go for top floor (even without lift) some ground floor patios had 3 aircon units right next to you.good location not to busy but easy walk to strip and some more local quieter casinos.wifi was free also

The room(s) were amazing. The pools were clean comfortable. The entire grounds were spotlessly maintained. The mattress was a bit firm but that is just personal preference.

Stayed here 5 days. Non smoking environment, very family friendly. My kids are 7,11, and 12. They all had a blast. We stayed at a 2 bedroom suite. Beautiful room, very clean and plenty of space. Located walking distance to Hard Rock hotel so you can go gamble. One of the pools and a small arcade are open 24 hours. Very friendly staff. No sales pressure at all. They do charge to clean your room but we decided to do without. They do provide clean towels at your request.

Nice location off the strip. The gym was the best I've seen. Room service was very fast and the food was enjoyable.
