A delightful, charming stone cottage, which has been restored with its original modest features, situated in the heart of the Dordogne valley, region 24, in a tiny hamlet called Larzac, next to a 12th century Templar church, (the property is rumoured to be 12th century also). Bergerac airport is a tempting 45 minute drive with regular flights to various UK destinations, (Stansted, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton to name but a few). Larzac is a tiny village situated 6kms from the bastille town of Belves, 15 mins from another bastille town of Monpazier, 30 minutes from the medieval town of Sarlat, 1 hour drive to Perigueux a historic roman town, 15 mins from Les Eyzies the prehistoric village steeped in history, museums and caves, and 1 hour from the famous Lascaux caves. About the neighborhood
Lots of competive restaurants to choose from at 6 kms away, a bakery delivery to the village itself as also the local spar van! Beautiful country walks around the village or cycling. The village is very quiet and tranquil if peace is what you are looking for. There is a fun pool (outdoors) situated at Belves suitable for children and adults, open during the months of June, July and August around 3 euros per person from 14h until 19h. Five hours of fun and sun. Spa center also 3kms away with sauna, hammam and jacuzzi available by booking.
Getting around
Regular train service from both Belves and Le Buisson.
