We had our family Ski reunion at Diamond Hitch. We were 18 people ranging from 7 months to 70 years old.
The house is large, well equipment, nicely maintained with direct access to the ski slopes.
The kitchen was fully supplied with cooking utensils, glasses, and plates for 18 people. We had plenty of room on the great room / dining area / kitchen for everyone. The House had play pens, child fences and child seats available.
The heated large two- plus car garage provided a great place to gear up. The “boot dryer” is an industrial designed air circulation system that easily dried everyone’s boots and gloves simultaneously. Plenty of hooks to hang ski clothes to dry at night.
We purchased most our food for the week in Bozeman when we arrived. With only one refrigerator, things were tight for the first half of the week. We need to store drinks (beer, wine, Gatorade etc) outside. We were worried about animals, but no problems. FYI, the employee dormitory will gladly accept any unused food or supplies when you leave.
The hot tub, steam room and sauna worked well and were enjoyed daily after skiing. The heated tile floors in the bathrooms were a real treat in the morning.
Beth, the property manager, was very helpful before and during our stay. It snowed 4 of our 7 days. The driveway was plowed immediately and the Resort’s Snow Cats even groomed up to the house for easy access to the trail. The rental company was great with communications and answered all our questions.
Everyone had a great time and we will return again next year.
