The vine, clematis and wisteria-clad row of 19th Century stone barns at Trevadlock Manor have been converted into five light, airy cottages, with an emphasis on simple, stylish decoration and furnishing. Situated between The Forge and Swallows' Barn this cottage is the penultimate one in the row at Trevadlock. The largest of the five cottages and like all the others, set out in reverse style, Lambs Barn offers three bedrooms and sleeps six. Lambs Barn is ideal for even larger parties as it has particularly versatile accommodation which can be opened up with its neighbouring cottage Swallows Barn. The layout includes a very useful twin bedroom on the first floor beyond the kitchen, and the seating in the open plan living area includes a cushioned fitted bench seat in addition to the sofa and chairs. The French window which opens from here onto an ornamental wrought iron balcony overlook the paddocks, fields and trees beyond. Lambs has a lovely cosy wood burning stove for use in the colder months. A basket of logs is provided on arrival. Accommodation (Reverse level) Ground floor: The entrance is at ground floor where 4 steps down lead to the two bedrooms. the double room with its king-sized bed has a walk-in wardrobe which also serves as the cottage's utility cupboard for ironing board etc. The large twin room has a zip and link bed which can either be used as a 6' double or twin beds. There is a bathroom with an over bath shower. First floor: From the entrance a flight of steps leads up to the kitchen / dining / living room with fully fitted units, dining table for 6 people and comfortable seating. This leads to a separate twin bedroom (3' beds). There is bags of character with features such as exposed stone walls and wooden ceiling beams. Exterior: Each property at Trevadlock has its own garden area with furniture and barbecue. A BBQ is provided. The Owner is delighted to provide access to over 20 acres of rolling fields with ancient trees, leading to the riverbank where you can even fish for small brown trout if you wish. For children, there is an enclosed play area. Beyond this area is a games room with pool, billiards, table football and table tennis. All bats, balls and cues are available as well as a seating area for those who prefer to watch. There is also a notice board highlighting local current attractions. Facilities & Services Heating is via gas central heating. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric fan oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Freezer space is available in a separate barn should it be required. The sitting area has a digital TV & DVD player. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, tea towels and washing up equipment are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is private parking for a number of vehicles available. Up to two well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week, although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the property alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is a cot & highchair available upon request. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £150 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
