About the neighborhood
Southrepps is a small, pretty rural village in an AONB. With pub, shop and PO. Located 10 mins drive distance from North Norfolk’s coast and its many Blue Flag beaches. Our guests find the cottage quiet being, away from the main thoroughfares. There is limited street lighting at night, so wonderful for star gazing. The area has one of the lowest rainfalls in the country and as Southrepps is slightly inland it is more sheltered from the colder north and east winds. Coach Cottage offers easy access to the many heavenly sandy beaches, Cromer's Victorian pier, Sheringham's steam railway and a host of other attractions. There are Quiet Lanes for cyclists to enjoy and many North Norfolk footpaths - great for walkers and dogs.
Getting around
The 33 / 33A Sanders Bus service from Cromer to North Walsham stops closeby outside the Vernon Arms. The nearest train station is Gunton Station, 1.5 miles away, on the Greater Anglia Bittern (Norwich to Sheringham) Line. Not all trains stop at Gunton. Alternative stations are North Walsham and Cromer - these have free parking. Trains to Norwich are served from London Liverpool St., Cambridge and Peterborough stations. Bicycles may travel on the trains.
