Lake front cottage nestled on private Evans Lake in the Irish Hills. Available all year long. Evans lake is one of the most sought after sandy bottom all-sport lakes in the Irish Hills with 200+ acres of surface water. The patio, deck, and lake facing windows make it a great place for enjoying the lake and great outdoors. Rooms include two recently renovated bedrooms, three bathrooms, family room (with queen size sofa bed) with 46" flat screen television. Dining room/living room and complete kitchen. Patio includes Weber gas grill, fire pit, and patio furniture. Be within a 45 minute drive of Ann Arbor (or Jackson) or spending a day on the lake with an open campfire, grilling, and taking in the sunset. Comfortable space with many amenities
Irish Hills Summer Cottage provided plenty of space for our family of eight as we attended a family wedding/reunion nearby. The well equipped kitchen and grill allowed for quick meal prep and saved on eating out every meal. Record high temperatures for the weekend made us grateful for AC, but it was challenged as we all were to cope with 95 degrees! So unusual for Michigan! Plenty of linens, towels, even beach towels. Very clean. The owners were very easy to reach and extremely helpful.

Relaxing weekend- perfect
A beautiful October get away.... we had all kinds of weather from 80 degrees to 42 degrees, from stormy to beautiful clear blue skies, from mirror-like calm to whitecaps, we found many ways to relax. Well stocked with games, cards, kayak, paddle boat, fishing poles, TV, and wifi. The kitchen is nice and the deck has a beautiful view of the water. Recommend highly.

Great time!
Very clean. Plenty of space. Stayed for a week. Can't wait to do it again. First time renting a cottage. Great for a family. Kids loved swimming and tubing.

Perfect friends retreat!
We loved our long weekend retreat at this cottage. It was perfectly clean with everything we needed. The common rooms are comfortable with beautiful, unobstructed views of the lake and having four separate bedrooms afforded plenty of privacy. It is homey as opposed to fancy, a little quirky and there are signs that it is a work in progress. That all makes it feel much more like a welcoming home than a hotel type space - exactly what I prefer. It didn't take us long to start making plans for a return trip!

Great value on Evans Lake
This is just what they say it is. A LAKE COTTAGE. It's not a big new HOUSE! It fit our family of 10 with no problems. It was clean and comfy. The little ones enjoyed the play set. The teens enjoyed the kayak. The sunsets and full rainbow over the lake were beautiful.
The cottage is in a very peaceful area on the lake. The cottage has many updates and you can tell it is still a work in process. If you want a clean but simple cottage this is a great value for your money.

We would like to stay here again.
The location of this lake house is awesome. We would love to go back and watch the sun setting over the water. The house was clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights with friends enjoying the grill and kitchen to cook our meals. We didn't have time to go out on the lake but it looks like a popular destination. The owner is very friendly and available via phone or emails. With four bedrooms it's a very affordable getaway.

Wonderful Cozy!
My girlfriend and I rented it for a weekend getaway in the depths of winter and it was perfect. Extremely comfortable and cozy with a beautiful view of the winter lake. Everything was extra clean and tidy with lots of information left to explain where everything was. I dont know what its like in the summer as we rented in the winter, but if the owner pays a similar attention to detail you will like it as well.

The property is right on the lake. Evans lake is one of the most sought after sandy bottom all-sport lakes in the Irish Hills with 200+ acres of surface water. Be within a 45 minute drive of Ann Arbor (or Jackson) or spending a day on the lake with an open campfire, grilling, and taking in the sunset.
The cottage is also in close proximity to Hidden Lake Gardens, Hayes State Park, Brooklyn and MIS (auto racing!). We have a huge property in the back of the house with a play structure and enough room for a game of baseball!
