Bouyé is situated on the boarders of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne, Aquitaine region of France.
The 600 year old stone barn is set in 1.5 acres of retired farm land. The countryside surrounding Bouyé is interesting, with distant views of Monflanquin. The location offers peace and quiet, and privacy. Explore the countryside and the region or just relax by the pool.
Bouyé is well positioned for many holiday requirements. Within the area here are many chateaux. Wine tasting, explore the countryside, and many Bastide villages, Monflanquin being the nearest, with many restaurants offering local cuisine.

Perfect
This was our first stay at Bouye and it most certainly won't be our last. The gite is perfect - spotlessly clean, very comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly want for a self catering holiday. The pool and poolside is lovely, very clean and well kept with plenty of sun loungers and parasols.
Martin and Carole are excellent hosts, never in the way but always there when you need them.
Bouye is situated perfectly for a relaxing, getaway from it all holiday by the pool and for exploring the beautiful towns and villages in Lot et Garonne, the town of Monflanquin (one of the prettiest towns in France) is only ten minutes away and has plenty of shops and restaurants.

Perfect Family Holiday
Driving through France filled with excitement and anticipation waiting to see what the Gite will be like is something we have experienced a number of times over the last few years. This year we pulled onto the driveway of the beautiful French Gite that would be our home for the next 2 weeks to be greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the owners Carol & Martin. We were given a tour of the Gite, the grounds and (most importantly for the children) the pool area. We were the left to unpack and settle in. Carol had mentioned that she had left us a welcome pack and when we looked it was everything we needed (and more) after the long journey.
The following morning Carol presented us with a wonderful breakfast treat of warm bread and croissants. And so the rest and relaxation began.
The swimming pool and pool area were superb. Lots of comfortable loungers and umbrellas positioned in different areas. Ample toys and floats for the kids (young and old). The thing that struck us most was how spotless and well maintained the pool was. So much so that we sacrificed a few days out in favour of spending some quality time as a family relaxing by the pool.
We did venture out during the holiday and found the surrounding area to be full of beautiful French villages (Pujols, Villereal, Penne-D’Agenais, Issigeac), traditional markets, mouth watering night markets and a nearby chateau the likes of which we have never before seen (or are likely to again). The later, Le Stelsia, was a trip that included a very enjoyable 18 holes of mini golf which is highly recommended.
The village of Monflanquin, a five minute drive away, we returned to numerous times during our holiday. A stunning hill top setting perfect for browsing local shops, taking in the sights and sounds of a traditional french market, enjoying a morning coffee and some ‘cafe culture’ in the square or treating your taste buds to the delights of the Thursday night market.
The single (or should we say couple) thing that made our holiday so enjoyable was meeting Carol & Martin. So warm, welcoming, friendly, informative and funny. They were 100% respectful of our privacy yet were always available should we need to ask for advice or information on places to visit.
The end of any holiday is always a little sad but saying goodbye to Carol & Martin, their wonderful Gite and the beautiful Monflanquin was especially so.

Bouye Brilliance........
Bouye is a superbly appointed gite. Everything you need is catered for. The pool and surrounding patio area is very nice and always clean. The gite location is quiet and peaceful. Its nearest bastide town (5 min drive) is very pretty with a lovely square with restaurants and shops. You can actually see it in the disrance from the poolside.
But.........the nicest thing about staying at Bouye are the hosts Martin and Carol. They are really lovely people, who treated us wonderfully the entire time. Just the kind of hosts anybody would love to be entertained by. Our stay was perfect.

Wonderful Gite in Fantastic Location
This was our fourth visit to Bouye and, yet again, we weren't disappointed. The gite is lovely - extremely clean and well-equipped with a beautiful pool area in a quiet location.
Carol and Martin are the perfect hosts - on hand if needed but not intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are extremely welcoming.
We will definitely be back!

We’ve waited three years to return
We’ve waited three years to return and it’s still the best equipped and cleanest gite that we have had in forty years of French holidays. The best part is that Carol and Martin are wonderful hosts. The whole experience was peaceful and relaxing

Wonderful stay
We had a fab stay at this beautiful gite. It was super clean and comfortable. The hosts, Carol and Martin, were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The pool was exceptional and well maintained! Thank you for a lovely week!
