The paved driveway is great for the kids to bring along their skate boards, rip sticks or bikes and a 3 car detached garage for parking. This log beach cabin on 10 acres is a perfect family getaway year round. Rent a boat nearby.

Oh how we enjoy staying at this house located right on beautiful Lake Superior. Lots of sleeping space for our ten guests and centrally located so we could take our many day trips. Hosts were very accommodating and stayed in contact with us making sure we had everything we needed. The house was well equipped as well with all the kitchen supplies we needed too. Nice, cozy up north home.

Modern Log-Home right on the shore of Lake Superior.
We had a wonderful vacation! The home is right on the beach, very private with its own firepit. We had several fires in the firepit which is just a few feet from the water. It was a beautiful setting for watching the sunset, incredible starry nights, with the moon rising directly from Lake Superior. Modern log home well maintained, with all the amenities. Great Location, in Christmas MI. The Pictured Rock Tour boats, Pictured Rock Hiking Trails and several Waterfalls are minutes away in Munising MI. We enjoyed all of these natural wonders. Lisa (host) was very attentive making sure we were well taken care of.

Most relaxing place ever!
This location is the most relaxing vacation we've ever had. We spent the entire week just enjoying the peace and quiet of the house and beach. Make sure to set your alarm early to catch the sunrise. The place isn't named Sunrise Beach for nothing. The sunrises were spectacular! Step out the back door from the screened in porch and you are on the beach. The water is clear and cold so swimming is a chilly experience but the beach is wonderful. Just a couple of things to remember: 1) the house is on a well with a high iron content so bring your own drinking water. 2) It can be a little "buggy" so bring your bug spray.

Awesome
A beautiful vacation getaway. The beach is great. Awesome sunrises in the morning! Spacious home! Very close to Munising and Christmas. A wonderful location to base all of your up north adventures. Well equipped with everything you need. Nice fire pit for evening campfires!
Only thing that would need improvement would be you have to bring your water to drink as the tap water is not great for that. We were told ahead of time so it was ok.
Possibly should install some type of water treatment system. Not enough to deter us from booking another week at this gorgeous location! Enjoy!

Cozy yet roomy with a great view.
The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing. Good access to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the Hiawatha National Forest.

Great Cottage in a Great Location
I don’t want to say I like this place because I want it available next year when I want to book again. Love the cleanliness, Nice comfortable bedding and nice clean towels. The water there is not drinkable but its the U.P. so it’s almost expected. But do want people to know! Everything was as described and the owners took great care in making sure I was happy and things were good. Thank you!

Serene and beautiful
What can i say? This place is amazing! Its clean, cute and placed on a beautiful sandy beach. My husband,parent's and dog enjoyed three days just relaxing and watching the beautiful lake superior waves
We booked with lisa and she was very prompt on answering questions...

Sunset Beach, a great family vacation house
This year, our daughter wanted to have a real family vacation. She found this home for all us, and she picked a winner! My wife and I stayed here with our daughter, son-in-law, and our 4-year-old grandson. Our son-in-law’s parents stayed nearby in a different rental house. They visited every day while they were here.
The house was perfect for all of us. Plenty of room, clean, great views, a beach literally out the back door, and a huge lake. My wife loved going to sleep at night listening to the waves breaking on the beach. Our grandson loved playing in the sand and water. His parents both enjoyed paddle boarding on the lake. They were amazed at how clear the water is and how far down into the lake they could see. In the evenings, we grilled out, roasted marshmallows, and later, after our grandson fell asleep, his parents sat by the fire in the fire pit and relaxed. Our grandson found a big moth, saw a snapping turtle, and went on a toad hunt with his dad.
Overall, we had a great vacation. We have lots of pictures and lots of memories. Thanks!

The Best Rental in Area
The rental was very clean. Kitchen well equipped. The view is priceless, as was the starlit night sky, and waking up to gradual, natural sunlight. Very quiet and peaceful. Sandy shoreline provided beautiful walks. Great location for a variety of year round activities.

Perfect Pet-Friendy Log Home
The log home is very well laid out with two full baths and two bedrooms with king beds at opposite ends of the house - making it great if you are staying with another couple. The kitchen was large and well equipped. House was very clean and the beds were already made up with bedding before we arrived. The beach was great for rock hunting even though we were there just at the end of winter. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Foggy's is at the end of the road from the house into town and we would have loved eating there (lots of good reviews and very convenient) but they were closed for remodeling since it was the off-season. We did get to enjoy the Brownstone Inn in Au Train and the Bear Trap Inn in Munising, so be sure an stop there! Lisa the owner was very helpful and checked on us when we arrived to make sure everything was okay. We would definitely come back again!
