I would like to first explain how amazing this Lucy's home was. You get to have a room on the bottom floor with a shared entertainment room, kitchen, and office space. You do have your own restroom also. The house is huge!! I've never been to Maryland before or Washington D.C. at that, but this community was very quiet and peaceful. If you had any concerns or needs, Lucy is a text message or phone call away and she answers them fairly quickly. She provided us with towels, and the basic necessities. We were not disturbed and she even came to greet us goodbye before we left!! We will definitely stay again and refer our friends and family when ever we are in town. Thanks Lucy!

A distance from DC...
My husband and I recently stayed in this vacation rental. It is in an upscale Maryland neighborhood and the hosts are very nice, get back to you quickly and are attentive.
We felt a bit misled at its proximity to DC. It is true that it is a 5 min drive to a bus to DC...but the bus took 1 hr the first day to get in to the city, 2 hrs the second day due to accidents and 1.5 hours the third day. The ride back was similar in time. The bus is a commuter bus so the timing is very limited. There are 5 or so times in the morning between 5 and 7:15 and 5 or so times in the evening ending at 5:30 or so. Having dinner in DC i s out using the commuter bus. The home lacks a nice place to relax after a long day of walking in the citiy, but there is space to create it if they see fit.

The place is clean , affordable and Lucy is very helpful and tried to answer any questions we had
There is a bus 5 min away that will take you into DC $10.00 round trip

Excellent!
First of all you need a car to go there. If it is not a problem, then go for it. For the money you spend on rental you will get more than you can expect - nice room, quiet area, place to make breakfast and very nice people. It is a good place to have rest after time in Washington, DC. Very close to Baltimore airport ....

Wonderful Hosts for our week in DC ~
Lucy provides a great balance of comfort. She has a separate fridge, washer/dryer and microwave for guests to use. Her husband is a DC tour guide and gave us great touring instructions and advice. They live about 5 mins from the bus that takes you into the city for $5/person each way and free car parking. She also gave us some tips to spend a rainy day...if you have the time, check out Ellicut City and Annapolis, both beautiful towns. Highly recommend The Sweet Home!
