Stayed here for any entire week in early June and did not want to leave. The one-bedroom with the open floorpan of Heron Cove cottage gave an air of openness and spaciousness to our visit. Small but just the right size, no wasted room in this design and beautifully decorated with a Maine/seaside touch without any of the touristy trappings of lesser properties.
Privacy on the meadow leading down to Crockett Cove was an added bonus as we watched the ever-changing ebb and flow of the tide. Sunsets in the cove, whether high or low tide, were dramatic ... and by low tide I mean nearly empty which gave a surreal feel to the setting.
Staying in a place like this really puts you in touch with nature and forces you to disconnect from all your electronic devices. Internet is spotty but available but you're in a rural setting so unplug, get off the grid, and get back to the basics of life.
