About the neighborhood
Brunthwaite.cottage is in a quiet hamlet, parking is off road in front of the cottage. Lots of pretty walks from the cottage. You need a car the explore the area. Within a few mins drive is the station of Steeton & Silsden so you can get the train into Leeds or Bradford. 30 mins sees you in the centre of Leeds which is now a vibrant modern city. You can also get a short train ride to Salts mill in Saltaire with its Hockney museum, shops and cafes. A drive also takes you to Haworth of the Bronte sisters fame. A little longer drive and you can visit Malham with its cove, waterfall and limestone pavement. An hour or so and you are in the centre of York with its wall city area, musems and the Jorvik centre. Also the national railway museum, a day out in itself.
