We broke our journey back to the Eurotunnel and to England, with a night at this lovely little cottage near the towns of Vernon and Giverny.
Our cottage appeared to consist of a shared kitchen / living room / dining area, and ours was the downstairs bedroom with modern bathroom en-suite.
Upstairs there was an additional bedroom, or possibly two.
The bedroom was simply furnished, with a wonderfully comfortable large bed for us as a couple, and a small single bed had been put in for our daughter. This bed was a metal sprung folding base, with mattress and was not as comfortable and made a noise with the slightest of movement.
The bathroom was well equipped, slightly chilly when we arrived, so we switched on the heated towel radiator. Loved having my first bath in a week (showered everywhere else we stayed) and the water pressure and amount of hot water was in surplus.
We woke to a typical breakfast of baguettes, croissants, jams, yoghurts...
